Is WDW confirming priority seatings?

Has anyone received a call from WDW confirming their priority seating?
We never have before, but got one today to confirm our seating for the Flying Fish on Dec 28th. I asked the girl if this was something new and she said she was asked to call us. I thought it was odd--anyone else get called.

I've never heard of that. Maybe somehow the restaurant got overbooked and they wanted to make sure you wanted the reservation.

I read somewhere else on here, can't remember the exact thread, but they also received a call about I think Jiko (don't quote me on that but I know it was a very popular restuarant)- Disney called them to confirm - I think maybe things are booked up and agree with what previous poster said probably just checking to see if you still wanted the reservation.

Other than V&A, it didn't happen with any of the ADR's that we had for last week.

Did you double book because I have heard of them calling about this
That is also the week that they check the double bookings and will cancel the first one made if more than one exists.This is due to high volume
