I can't tell you how many times we end up being one of the first cars in a new row (just about every single time we park). It gets old. However, we just park and walk it.
THIS!
OP - it may be rude, but I wish I had the gumption to do it! It infuriates me to be told where to park.
To those above saying it only saves a few steps or it takes the same amount of time to loop back around ... I'm wondering if you've ever parked in those lots in the morning when the CMs are telling you where to park.
From one end of the row to the other is a LOT more than a few steps. And yes, the tram may make it a wash on the way in. But on the way out, you have to walk all the way back to wherever the CM told you to park.
If I were able to choose my own spot, I would never choose the one where they put me.
I wonder if I can talk my husband into trying this ....
Edited to add: With my luck, we'd end up in a worse spot than if we'd just taken the first one.
