Is there ONE thing (maybe a little odd) that you always have to do at Disney?

I ALWAYS have to go to Germany at the WS and get a shot glass and a tasting of their Riesling. I just love it and it reminds me of Disney, even when I buy it at home. This is a must do of every trip and just about every visit to the WS!

You?

ok- you asked for odd. . .

On our honeymoon a 8 years ago, I was filming my DH talking to the Indian statue on main street. So every trip since then we make sure and film. Actually, what we do is film OTHER people standing near it when we are waiting for the parade then DH talks as if he is the person standing near it. (Like saying things like - "hey Indian - hot today, huh? and So, how long have YOU been standing here?) and stupid stuff like that. It sounds dumb but we roar with laughter when we watch it at home. The person has no idea we are filming them as we are usually across the street.

We can't leave until we do this.

OK you want odd

Must walk backwards down Main Street USA in MK, this way people think we are leaving.

Long standing tradition

Take a picture (well, okay, a few) of the Castle. I have many hundreds, still always looking for something just a bit different. And probably not all that unique either.

I must always, always, always take a drink of water from the drinking fountain attached to Cinderella's fountain behind the castle. I firmly believe that, so long as you continue to replenish from this fountain, you will never truly grow "old"...

(see, you guys only think I'm 32 ;) )

Mine isn't weird, I think. I have to buy a refrigerator magnet.

We always get fish and chips, beer and listen to the British Invasion at least once, maybe twice.

I like to yell out in line -- Anyone here from out of town? Drives my kids nuts!!

There is a spot I stand on every visit. Its located in Tomorrowland, just in front of the Peoplemover, between the entrance to the former Alien Encounter and TimeKeeper. Its basically the spot where you have to decide whether to walk right or left to get around the Peoplemover/Astro Orbiter tower on the way to Space Mountain.

I have a very clear memory of standing on that spot back in 1975. The park had just opened and my sister and I had been runnning for Space Mountain, but we had to stop to wait for Mom and Dad to catch up. I remember standing there, looking back toward the hub as my parents approached. I was in my favorite place in the world and the day was just beginning. A whole day of magic still lay before me. I was happy, excited and carefree. I'll never forget that feeling.

Its been nearly 30 years since that day. We lost Dad to cancer years ago and Tomorrowland is very different now. Still, somehow, when I stand on that spot, a little bit of that feeling returns and I am once again an excited kid in his favorite place on earth. Such is the magic of Disney World.

first and last ride has to be Pirates of the Carribean. Have to make a wish in front of the castle when leaaving. And I have pictures of my son "talking" to the Indian in Frontier town from the time he was 5 over 20 years ago. He goes with his wife now, and they still take the same picture.

We always go bike riding from Wilderness Lodge to the Fort Wilderness petting farm. I'm going to miss it so much when we move down there - only resort Guests can rent bikes! WAAAAHHHH!:(

I always have to eat a Dole whip when I visit the MK.....maybe 2 on a REALLY long day.....

We go to DTD and I buy a 'Leader Hat' every trip. Usually a headband with a character's ears on it or something, but it always draws attention and that way everyone knows who's in charge! I have this huge collection of Leader Hats at my apartment.

And the Dole Whip? Oh yes, lots of Dole Whip...why do they not sell that everywhere???

We always have to listen to the piano player outside Casey's Corner. My husband always has to request Maple Leaf Rag and we have to eat hotdogs while we listen to it. He just loves it! I'm surprised the piano player doesn't know him by name! ;)

What is it with the Indian? LOL! I had my picture taken with him when I was 4 on my first visit to the MK and I just have to have one every time I go!

I don't think it is odd, but the first thing we do is go right to 50's Prime Time Cafe and get an order of their fried cheese. It is also the last thing we do before leaving.

Ride IASW at least once. It was the very first ride I ever rode at MK when we first visited summer of '95 and I have to admit I love that ride. A lot. :) Plus...once you ride it, it's impossible to get that song outta your head.

We also have to eat at Casey's on Main St at least once. I honestly believe they have the best tasting hotdogs on Earth. :)

On my honeymoon 25 years ago I took a picture of DH pointing at the parrot at the entrance of the Pirates ride. Through the years I've taken a picture of him pointing at the Parrot during every visit. Now my pictures include my kids who are doing the same thing.

Two things I always do.
There is a low wall on the way from TTC to the ferry dock to go over to the Magic Kingdom. I always sit there for a few minutes every trip and just enjoy the view and the people. I also just stand out in front of the MK looking up at the Railroad station for several minutes and think about all the times I have stood in the same spot thru the years.
