For our group while I get the infant to sleep in the room? Are there lounge areas where one can read? Fun things for a preschooler to explore?

Thanks

Shel

On the floor where Chef Mickey's is located, there is a shopping area and lounge, and the monorail goes through overhead so that's fun. Your preschooler might enjoy at least for one night to just get on the monorail with your DH and ride it around its circuit a few times.
On the lobby floor is the check-in desk, pool deck and a small beach, and a snack bar and arcade. I really disliked the arcade area but my kids loved it.

At the far end of the reception desk, they also had a little area with a television playing Disney cartoons that had a few cushy couches, chairs, for just hanging out. We sat there for a bit while waiting for our DME bus on check out day.

Outdoors, there is a small playground. There is a lot of captivating activity at the boat dock; one can ride launches back and forth to WL and MK for free.

There is also a seating area on the 4th floor (concourse level) where they play the Disney Channel cartoons. And there's a bar that had a TV with news playing.

On our last day we did the parks in the morning and then returned to the hotel because we were hot and tired. Since we were officially checked out of our room we had to find things to do. We spent some time watching cartoons on the concourse, playing in the arcade, took a boat ride, and had a really yummy lunch at the Concourse Steak House. We had figured if we needed to kill more time we would have taken a ride on the monorail, but didn't end up having enough time for that.

Not sure they still do this but the front desk will give you a free Disney coloring book and a 4 pack of crayons. Your preschooler might enjoy that. You have to ask for it though. Enjoy the trip.

There are plenty of good ideas here. I like the sound of the monorail and boat the best. Easy way to relax at the end of a day, but for kids they might get bored after a little bit. I think the cartoons is a good thing too. Deffinatly ask about the coloring book.
