Is there a March 2011 code watch thread?? This must be it!!

For free quick service dining through March 10th--specifically
2/27/11–3/10/11, 5/1/11–6/2/11 and 8/14/11–9/29/11.

Not my dates or really what I wanted, but nice to know its out there.

On the bottom it said:
Be sure to ask about great rates at other Disney Resort hotels
and for stays most nights 2/17/11–4/16/11 and 5/1/11–9/29/11.

and I got excited, but the agent said that was still a dining deal, not a room discount. I may call again tomorrow to see if I get a different answer.

Well Ryan.. that is the million dollar question! There is no hard and fast rule for pins.. they are seemingly random. Of course we all try things like signing up your email on Disney's Website, I got one for this year I cant use (not going till 2011) I believe from saving a vacation estimate at Disney.com.. there are other potentially possible triggers that I am sure others can discuss.. but I need to go to work!

Help please, I am new to all of this and a bit confused. What is the difference between a code, pin, discount, etc? How do you get one, does someone send it to you or do you just have to check on here everyday to find it? Any and all help would so be appreciated. Thanks.

A pin is a number that has certain discounts attached to it that you get thru email or mail. These discounts could be percent off, free dining or any other special Disney feels like offering. They are not sent to everyone...they are not general public discounts.

I received a pin code the beginning of September and never saw it, and I received the Peter Pan pin code again on Friday as a reminder that I hadn't acted on it.

Anyways, I booked AKL with a 20% off code and the CM told me the military discount code was coming out this weekend, and it did and he also said the 40% would be coming out soon, but to book, and I can always add the extra 20% off. So I went ahead and booked AKL March 30, 2011 till April 2, 2011.

Would love to go to the Beach Club if it truly does come out. I am splitting the cost with my 2 sisters, so it would be just a little over $100 each per nite. I can dream right?

2 things you can try.
Go to the WDW website and sign up with a new e-mail address. But use all your information, don't put random info in. Order a new planning video.

We are DVC so we can't use PINs but we are going with friends in March and they are looking for deals...I will definitely suggest that they order a video and/or sign up with a new email address.

Each special offer, be it free dining, room only public code or PIN, has only a certain number of rooms available for it. Some resorts or some types of rooms may not be available under the particular PIN or offer when someone wants to book under it.

Additionally, offers can differ for various resorts. For example, recent PINs have been 20% off values, 25% off AKL, 30% off mods & 40% off other Deluxes. So your friends would need to read the offers very carefully.

I am going Mar 19th through Mar 24th and found a great package deal through SWA. Since we booked early enough we got flight tickets, room at POP and park tickets for 679.00 per person for all adults. Didn't want to wait for a pin since I was worried they wouldn't have any value rooms available and good flights. Thought if you are looking at flying you may want to check these deals out since they are very good.

I have been countless times, have an AP, own a DVC and I have never, I repeat Never gotten a PIN, ever!

I guess Disney figures they have all my money already so why bother.

Hoping for something here!! We already had to cancel our Feb trip because of DD's school schedule and I am really not wanting to wait until the end of May. FD is nice but I'd rather have a buy 4 get 3 deal or 40% off here. I'd rather not go during FD since it seems crazy busy at the restaurants during this and when I go and sit down to a nice meal I'd kind of like to relax (yes, it's possible with 3 kids...well, slightly possible! LOL)

Aaaargh....so frustrated!! I keep reading about these 40% (deluxe) pins valid for my timeframe!!! Why can't I get one???? boo-hoo!! Sure hope they open that up to the general public, or Visa holders, soon!
