I hear you! I have a free dining offer booked for now at the Poly but I really hate paying rack rate there, especially for CL. But I am hoping that some type of room discount offer comes out or I get a pin code. DD will be 10 then so she is considered an adult rate so right now the free dining is a decent savings but we usually pay out of pocket for dining when we stay CL.

We have been lucky and stayed at the Poly with a 40% discount our 3 previous trips. I have not forwarded the e-mail ressie confirmation to DH yet because I know he will flip at the cost He has no idea how all these discounts and offers work. He thinks it is great that I got free dining...but he if he only saw the rack rate

Oh, God, if DH saw the amount right now, he'd flip too!!! Not sure if he even knows the total amount of our 2 previous trips (I pay the bills), but he knows they were covered by our income tax refund, paid in full!! A 40% discount will make that possible again- if not....we'll have to see!

We had a bounceback trip booked that we booked during our last trip which was about 40% off room and dining. We were to leave tomorrow actually. My Mom got got diagnosed with cancer in late June and we were unsure of the future so I canceled all together. Sadly, she passed away just 42 days after diagnosis on 8/8. While a Disney trip would be great therapy for us, we want to get past the holidays first because we know they will be hard.

My condolences on the loss of your mother. I hope your family can all lean on each other to make it through a tough time of year.

Joining in the watch -- not sure of dates yet, but I think I may have DH at least considering a March trip as long as he can forgo Disney a few days to watch Yankees spring training instead! (sounds like an even trade to me )

Soooo...just found a few weeks ago my DH's sister is getting married in March in Tampa. We of course will be attending...which of course means taking a few extra days off work and heading to WDW! Our DD will be 22 months old, so it's time for her first trip! Our baby boy will be 5.5 months old. We weren't planning on taking him with us, but if the deal was right for March, then he'd come too! I'd love to stay for a week instead of just 2 extra days to the wedding weekend.

Come on Disney, don't let this tired Mama down!!

2 of my 3 sons went to WDW between the ages of 5 and 6 months! It was GREAT! We all loved it. They were happy in their strollers, facilities were great - I could nurse them while in shows or in the Baby Care rooms at each park. It was great they were not used to walking or crawling - they were so happy just to look at everything and everyone!

Hi Everyone!

Ok, I just got off the phone with Disney and I wiggled my way into some insider information from a very, very helpful cast member!

He told me that last year all through March they had the "room only" discount as well as the "buy 4 get 3". He said that they will release the discounts for March one of two ways. Right now they could extend the current discounts to go through to March. If they do that the release date will be around November 21st!! If they come up with new discount codes for the month of March, they should come out the Monday or Tuesday after Thanksgiving!!

I hope he is right because I went ahead and booked the Contemporary with the hopes of a nice 40% off discount!

So mark your calendars everyone!!

Thanks for the info, we are looking to go March 13-20 for DD's birthday. I'm really hoping for a discount. We try to never go during Peak season but can't help when her birthday is. Which also luckily happens to start off her spring break.

I was sure hoping that something would come out sooner than november though.

We are doing the DVC tour on our october trip and I really hpe DH will agree to buy but I'm doubtful. I don't think he sees the value in it. Even though we go every year and he like to stay deluxe. Although for DD's birthday I really wanted to stay in the CR tower MK view. I know I can get a MK view at Bay Lake Tower (which is where we want to buy) but I've never had the experience of staying in the CR and have wanted to since I was a kid and DD does too. I know the guides can usually get you in on shorter notice to places if you book when you buy, but I'm guessing those MK view rooms are going to go quick at that time of year.

The last 3 years the 4/3 has come out the last part of September, so maybe next week? the % off deals have come later like others have said already. I am on the boat. I have plane tickets and dining reservations, but no resort reservations yet !!

That's DD's birthday, the 13th. She doesn't know yet that we are thinking about going for her birthday and I may decide to keep it that way and surprise her the day of. Not sure if I can do it though.

In the past has the 4/3 deal been good at the value resorts? We are booked at the POP from March 26-Ap2, 2011 for my son's band trip. I would love a discount. Which is better, 4/3 or % off?

At the Moderate and Values, the 4/3 is better while at the Deluxe, the % off is better. I just did the math on rooms in March using the 4/3 and 30% off at Mods and 40% off at Deluxe and that is what I came up with.

For a family of 4 using the regular dining (2 adults and 2 kids), Free Dining is the better deal than the room discounts, except again at the Deluxe resorts (I am basing this off of what I calculated for my 10 day trip). So, hope for free dining, followed by 4/3, followed by % off at the Mods !!

Yep, that's right. And we're staying at the Poly, so I'm hoping in reverse order - % (40!), 4/3, free dining.

I definitely want the % off!!

dining plan doesn't interest me at all....we stay CL, so DP is really overkill. We never spend as much as the DP costs anyway, so getting it free really isn't an incentive for us at all. I mean - Breakfast is provided most days unless we are doing a character one. We eat TS late lunch and that is all...maybe a couple of snacks - ice cream, fruit, veggies and dip. Sometimes my boys will get something at CApt Cooks late night, but not all the time.

Really want the % off!!

Typically there will be a code where you can use the % off as part of a package. The discount is still just on the room portion, but you can add the tickets and DP.
