I am really hoping to get a PIN for late October/early November. If we get a discount then MAYBE my husband will say yes. The only PIN I have ever received was for Disneyland.

me too....two of them now that I went back and checked my emails.....do they do this by geography? We live in California, not Florida.....

I really think that the WDW Sales people target certain areas/regions.
I live in Colorado and have never gotten a Walt Disney World pin but
have gotten plenty of information on Disneyland. I guess they think
that we would like DL better because of our location. I don't think it's fair.
We really enjoy going to WDW. I hope they will expand their region.
I had did a poll a few month back on who was receiving these pins and
most who lived on the East coast and Southern states got them with
Mid west next then a couple from west coast but that was it.
About 95% of the guest getting the Pins were from the East Coast and
Southern States (I guess because WDW is closer and easier for them to
visit). I have tried every trick in the book, all the suggestions on getting a
Pin and nothing at all works for me(it has been 5 months now and nothing).
I even talked to a Few CMs and they even told me that I may not qualify
for a Pin but wouldn't tell me what I could do to qualify.

I don't know if it throws the geography theory out the window, but I live in the most eastern region of Canada.

well that just bites! I have ordered the dvd, have been multiple times to the website, talked w/a cs agent.....I am hoping/wishing/praying for a code. I NEED a code!

Well that blows! (not for you Julie! ) but for us....I ordered that dvd a couple weeks ago and bupkes. Now my dh and I are starting to second guess when we should go....May/June or Oct. If we can get the 40% AND the 750.00 gc....well that is tempting!

You have to pick one or the other. No combining.

So, if you book now, and a better offer comes along (say you get a PIN), do you change your current reservations or cancel them and get new ones?

We have not booked yet are are going October 22-31, hoping for free dining. They extended it last year and it was the first time in 6 years we had not gone. I've never got free dining and would love it in Oct this year!!!!

Woo Hoo I got the pin with 40% off deluxe and booked the Polynesian for October 25 - November 3. That pin saved us $1400!

I totally agree!!!! I live in CO too and when we first started the planning process last year, I received several for Disneyland but have not received one for WDW. We want to do WDW for our first trip and I have done all the tricks that people share on these boards and still nothing. I keep hoping for the PIN but have decided it just might not come and hopefully they will offer a general public offer for late Oct that we can use.

I'm in, too! We're currently planning for 10/19 - 29th but depending on what discounts become available, I'm willing to change it up a little bit. Last year, we got a 40% off discount for the room only for 7 nights, but we were there for 9 so I got the package for the first two nights, then a separate ressie for the last 7. I'm kinda hoping I don't have to do that again (because when your ressie is room only, you can't take advantage of free dining, which was ALSO offered) but I'll have to see what they offer and go from there.
