Somebody has to pay NBC for showing Macy*s 3 hour commercial.

Hey I was once one of those whackjobs!

In HS I worked for Macys. I got suckered into volunteering (17 & stoopid) I was a balloon handler. Had to hold Down Bullwinkle in 5 degree weather.


I couldnt move my arms for a week, and my feet weren't fairing any better either. One of the WORST experiences of my LIFE!

I just don't understand why this type of question has to be asked. Why is there so much negativity going on.

To me and how I was raised. Thanksgiving is a time to be with your family and enjoy a meal together and visit with them all day long. Not always everyone is in the best of moods, but why do we have to protest EVERY SINGLE holiday now.

I also will say that the Native Americans do not like Columbus Day more over than Thanksgiving. They were still friendly then.

My Thoughts on Thanksgiving:

The holiday? Nope, no offense taken.

My family's food? Yes, yes, I very offended.

Yes it is totally offensive. We have to spend this whole day with the inlaws that no doubt will undercook a bird, and force us to eat it. All while we choke it down, listen to their endless babble, nod and take it, and act like we're interested in their stories that they are re-telling for the 29th time. I can't think of anything more offensive.

And is it PC to be "thankful" when there are still homeless people, people starving, genocide in Africa, famine etc. It is very offensive to be thankful for this country.

We should get rid of this holiday too, replace the turkey dinner with pizza and cheese dip, maintain the time off from work and call it the holy day of the NFL. (Football is on that day you know)
