My 7 year old loved this ride. Especially the huge pumpkins!
We really enjoyed it. What was surprising was that my 3 kids loved it! They were fascinated by the plants, especially ones that looked like Mickey![]()
This ride had a profound effect on my DD. She was 8 years old on her first trip to WDW. We went on the Land ride, and when she saw the plants and the hydroponics, she knew what she wanted to be when she grew up.
Years later, she graduated from Cornell with a degree in Fruit and Vegetable Science and landed a job doing DNA research on plants, working in a lab just like the one at the end of the ride. All because of the Land.
You never know what will influence a child, but the Land definitely had quite an effect on my DD.
I have to go on this ride several times each trip, think of DD, and smile.![]()

Am I missing something? I have been on this ride loads of times (love the greenhouses), but I have never been on a boat with a "guide" or "attendant". Is this something new? The last time I was there was April 08. Or is this something old? I think the first time I rode it was about 3 years ago.
