IS Jiko's menu on disney world.com accurate?

So looking at menus and it appears that Jiko has 4 entrees left on the menu besides the 3 course meals?? Any one been recently taht can confirm this.

That is literally it.

It appears there are two prix fixe menus listed. The Circle of Life which is supposed to be limited time only. And the Jiko . That brings the total to 7 entrees (4 stand alone, 2 in the Circle of Life and 1 in the Jiko Prix Fixe). I suspected that it will go back to the "normal" menu once the Circle of Life special ends.

I think thats probably wrong and there are more than that. The short ribs are usually a staple on the menu, as well as the seafood curry. Maybe check allears and see what they have listed, they are usually pretty up to date.

There are enhancements too, which are sized like tapas. My significant other ordered two.

Wow! We ate there in May and the menu was much larger, and similar to previous trips. Hopefully, this is just a short trial run and not the new normal.
Their food and menu were amazing.

I know they are have added pre fixe options. That said, I've seen a decent number of errors on the Disney site over the years.
I checked the DIS for info, here's the menu they list as of July 2019.

When were you last there? I was there in the first week of July and had this menu: Jiko - The Cooking Place Menu - Animal Kingdom Lodge Which I would consider pretty full. Did they change it again?

If so, I can only imagine that the Lion King promotion is ending soon and they wanted to keep a prix fixe menu as a part of the menu. So they decided to incorporate the bone marrow and ribeye dishes into a new prix fixe after making a few tweaks to the dishes. There is no fish choice in the new Prix Fixe oddly. Anyway, because they now just added 2 more dishes, they temporarily removed some items from the regular menu(shrimp, seafood curry, short rib, and bison) until the Lion King promotion is over.

That would be my hypothesis. The fact that there are ZERO fish based dishes on the new menu(except 1 scallop app) seems pretty suspect to me.

Hopefully someone staying at AKL or going to dinner at Jiko or Boma sees this thread and can investigate what the menu they have posted outside the restaurant says and ask a CM about this.

Disney's website has been a lot more accurate than it used to be when it comes to menus. We decided not to take our chances. We switched our Jiko ADR for a couple of weeks from now over to OT. We can decide when we get to AKL if we want to eat at Jiko or go somewhere else (we are staying AKL and had an ADR for our first night).

I didn't know until now that Jiko was on OT! Thanks for the head's up. Now I can switch our Jiko ADR to OT and make an ADR for Tiffins so we can decide later what to do. It's also our arrival night -- while the ease of eating at AKL is appealing after a travel day, heading over to DAK for dinner then seeing Pandora at night (which we've never done) also sounds really cool.

Dined there last night and I have menu pics for ya! There are 5 regular menu entrees - sadly the short rib and elk are temporarily off menu due to Lion King menu. There was not a separate prix fixe menu besides Circle of Life offerings. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos - we were in the wine room and the lighting was really harsh, so there are some crazy shadows in the photos.

Thanks for this, I have been debating all day whether to keep Sanaa for lunch or Jiko for dinner. Not a huge fan of the new menu. Wonder how long it will be there?
