Is It Worth It?

We already have a trip booked for November 5-10 staying at Pop Century with the Dining Plan. Now that the free dining dates have been released I'm wondering if it would be worth it to push our trip back a little? I was trying to look at prices and dates online but it's coming up with nothing being available. Am I doing something wrong.

The week we're going to be there is one of the only weeks without the Free Dining. Any ideas why this week was left out?

Thanks for any help I can get!

Moving you to the Dining Plan board where Free Dining is being discussed and you'll receive helpful replies. :)

Probably because it's the end of Food and Wine? We went to WDW last time November 9-15 and the 10th I believe was the last day of Food and Wine. So my guess is they don't want to offer free dining that week as it's already packed enough with people getting their last opportunity to go.

Back when I booked it for those dates I didn't realize there was anything going on during that time. In your opinion is it going to be really busy because of the Food and Wine? We've only done Disney in June when it's super busy and super hot and we were hoping for a cooler, less crowded time of year :)

EPCOT was terrible the last day of Food and Wine. Couldn't hardly walk around the world showcase. But the very next day it wasn't bad at all. None of the other parks were really that bad. It's just EPCOT that was packed. We only were there the final day of F&W, though, so I can't speak for the whole last week.

Yikes! We love World Showcase so that would stink for us. I'll look into it more and see what I come up with. We haven't decided which day to do which park so hopefully we can work around it. Thanks for the info!

Your week is Jersey Week. New Jersey schools have a break on Thursday and Friday, so lots of people head to WDW. That week has been blacked out for several years, since Disney doesn't need the discount to fill rooms.

POP is no longer available for most free dining dates, but it may be worth it to watch and see if some rooms open up if you are able to be flexible in dates.

Yep. Been there twice at the end it's absolutely true. WS is packed. The rest of the week was great.

Does Food and Wine go on everyday of the time period they have listed on the website or only on weekends?

It's daily - booths open when World Showcase opens.

Mid-week at 11:00, the crowds are minimal.

Hopefully that'll be the case for us. When I made the reservations I must have missed the Food and Wine festival dates. We like World Showcase because the kids can get lots of autographs so fingers crossed whatever day we choose to go will be a good one. :)
