Hi to all the J's & K's, I have been MIA for sometime now, but have good news to report. We spent the last 6+ weeks with family back east. We had a great Christmas, celebrated my birthday and New Years. Accomplished many tasks like building an entire 16 X12 pantry , with can rotation system, a seperate storage area for tools and toys. Built a fence on 2 1/2 acres and repaired gates, built stairs and painted. And no we were not building a house or working on a ranch. :rotfl: Just helping friends who have had major illness in their young lives and trying to give back just a little of the blessings we have been given in our life.

I did not have computer connection while I was away, so I have a lot to catch up on here, as well as planning our next trip. It was a little difficult without a computer as they didn't have cable or TV either. We did have a great time watching movies on DVD and playing table games. Even build 3D puzzles. :thumbsup2 Plus we all got to sit and visit, bake, and just enjoy some really nice weather.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Kim, so glad to read you have a cruise with your family coming up shortly. What a wonderful gift and surprise for them. Can't wait to hear all about it!

Brandi, Really happy to hear your surgery went well. Take care and don't try to do too much too soon. There is a good reason why they said you have 6 weeks recovery time. Sending prayers for healing and less pain.

:cheer2:

I guess it is less than that now. But we have our reservations for October. We will be staying at the Dolphin and AKL. At least that is where we are at now. Who knows what DH will have up his sleeve. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary! :goodvibes

Sounds like some good times were had by all. What wondeful friends you both are. I look forward to seeing you in October.

I am so glad that Kim is still looking forward to her cruise... :goodvibes

Brandi - We all knew David would take great care of you. I am glad you are on the mend.

coastermom - HAVE FUN!!!!

Angel - what are your October dates? I am so happy to see you are back with us! :)

Has anyone heard from Wendy lately? She ought to be healing very well by now, don't you think? ;)

I got an update from her right before my surgery. She said that she is doing better by the day. She is still in PT. Not sure when she will text me again.... Her team lost to my Tide in the BCS National Championship....

A BIG THANKS to you all for the prayers and well wishes from all of you.

Laura,

Thank you so much....

I have to keep my foot elevated all of the time, so i spend most of my time in bed and on the couch lying down, which helps in taking naps.... :confused3

Brandi, good to see you:grouphug:

Kim glad your trip is coming soon:hug:

Not a lot going on here, well I've had bronchitis, swollen glands, and an upper respitory infection for the past week:scared1: A few days I went to work, but only for half days, a few days I couldnt go at all...Today and tomorrow I am off anyway so hopefully I'll be fine by the time Saturday morn comes around.

So, I have dear friends that dining @ Victoria & Alberts, right this minute:cloud9: Which got me to thinking, what can Scott & I do in WDW, in June, not in park, not expensive (obviouslynot V & A:rotfl2:) for our 10th anniversary. So I ask him how uch he thinks we should spend max, and he says $5:laughing: I hope he's kidding, cause I booked afternoon Tea @ the GF, because that really isnt expensive, it's the same if not less than some TS meals, and he loves the GF, so this is a surprise..I might cancel:confused3
Any better ideas?

....NCL called me this evening to see if I had any questions or if there was anything that I needed to make my trip more pleasureable....I WANTED to say "add a week vaca at WDW!" :rolleyes1

I am thinking about booking AKL for a trip either at the end of the year or early next year and may book it while I am at WDW next week if a bounce back offer is available with a room discount.

I am wondering if you all think it is more worthwhile to do a shorter trip with a savanna room or a longer trip with a standard view? I think the idea of being able to watch the savanna would be really fun but it also is significantly more expensive so it would have to be a shorter trip. :worried:

I know how this goes, (from David's perspective) :rolleyes1

I think the magic of watching the animals from you balcony is priceless. I know others say that there are plenty of places to watch from outside the room, but living with a disabled traveler, we don't get around the hotel much so I'm prejudiced on the room view. I love sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and watching the animals. We need a lot of nap time, so there is a lot of time spent in the room. I love the Savennah view.

 Ciao back to you !!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND to each of you !!
( I am :rolleyes1 NOT working today !! )
