....awwwww guys, you SHOULDN'T have....no, really....my birthday is in SPETEMBER - you shouldn't have. :rotfl:

I am thinking about booking AKL for a trip either at the end of the year or early next year and may book it while I am at WDW next week if a bounce back offer is available with a room discount.

I am wondering if you all think it is more worthwhile to do a shorter trip with a savanna room or a longer trip with a standard view? I think the idea of being able to watch the savanna would be really fun but it also is significantly more expensive so it would have to be a shorter trip. :worried:

If there's no offer when you're there next week Disney is constantly doing the 35% off deluxe codes. It seems when one ends another one starts. Yes, there are tons of public areas to see the animals, a point which I myself have said many times, but for me I'll always get a Savannah View because we loved it so much. If it really stretches the wallet then I think being at AKL in any room is better than not being there, and you really don't want to be stressing about money before/during vacation.

Good Morning Everybody!

Kim, I can't see the picture. Are you getting really really excited? Your cruise is coming up soon!

..how come? :confused3

;);) As I accepted extra work as "psicological assistance" to my younger pupils ( most of whom are "disturbed" or have big problems at home ) ...
I get :goodvibes FREE Fridays -
unless I have to see "social services" ... but THEY are still  on holiday !!!

So I'm having a lazy day ...:littleangel:
 with upset tummy !! :confused3

YOUR cruise :dance3: is approaching !!! laura

Does anyone have any pictures from the Wed. 3PM Wine Tasting that we talked about a couple pages back? I've been poking around on the DIS and can't seem to find anything about it.

...it is with a heavy heart that I announce that a dear colleague of mine has just lost her 20-y-o DS yesterday when she was unsuccessful at waking him...needless-to-say, she has suffered much heartache in her life. Her first DH, who was her [now] deceased DS's dad, passed years ago, from a heart attack, when her DH was a young child. In later years, she remarried and her 2nd DH succumbed to MS.....now this....:sad1:

 That is such a sad story. Many prayers for her.

I always have had that fear myself and get out of bed sometimes to check on my kids as I have just heard so many of these stories lately.:sad1:

Good Morning Everyone!

Does anyone have any views from 5th floor Savannah View? I know a few have been shared, I'm just trying to figure if we'll get a good view of the animals. I think people have said they have, but I want to ask again. Thanks!

I posted this one a few weeks ago from the 5th floor DVC on the Ostrich Trail (I think:rolleyes1)

But I'll have to find a better picture with all the animals we saw.

THANKYOU to each and everyone for your thoughts ! It seems they are working !!

I talked with Mom this afternoon and told her that some friends were sending thoughts all the way from US !
She ansewred : Oh ! Such a long trip :) even for a smiling thought !!!

and added : Tell them I'll be praying for their families - as I cannot do much these days ... but at least I can send special prayers for their needs / dreams !!

Isn't Mom something ?

So I thought to post a photo of her for my friends here ; it was taken 10 or more years ago :
Mom is now even thinner ...

 Again , THANK YOU !! laura

Glad that you mom is improving. And what a great picture.:goodvibes

...sure is....:scratchin  HEY! If I look out MY stateroom window, will I see a starfish too???!?!

:scared1: I hope not.:lmao:

It has been rough and lots of pain but I am getting back to normal.

Lot of stitches and dr visits...

But I am at least staying awake for more than a couple of hours :rotfl:

Have a great day J's & K's

Glad that you are slowly getting back to normal.

Not a lot going on here, well I've had bronchitis, swollen glands, and an upper respitory infection for the past week:scared1: A few days I went to work, but only for half days, a few days I couldnt go at all...Today and tomorrow I am off anyway so hopefully I'll be fine by the time Saturday morn comes around.

So, I have dear friends that dining @ Victoria & Alberts, right this minute:cloud9: Which got me to thinking, what can Scott & I do in WDW, in June, not in park, not expensive (obviouslynot V & A:rotfl2:) for our 10th anniversary. So I ask him how uch he thinks we should spend max, and he says $5:laughing: I hope he's kidding, cause I booked afternoon Tea @ the GF, because that really isnt expensive, it's the same if not less than some TS meals, and he loves the GF, so this is a surprise..I might cancel:confused3
Any better ideas?

Hope you feel better and I think the Tea idea sounds wonderful:goodvibes

I vote for the longer trip with the standard view. When it comes to Disney I am all for quantity vs quality:lmao:
