I have heard a rumor that the BIG surprise is that MK (or possibly all the parks) will be open for the entire 24 hour period on Leap Day. Let's see if that is true!

...wow, that'd be kewl....popcorn::

The Dream was a "dream"....it was so amazing and I'm in love. I had never cruised before so it was my first time but wow, what an experience. The Ship is absolutely beautiful, the staff was amazing (we had a wonderful wait staff and our room hostess was the sweetest thing), the splash area for the kiddies was a lot of fun, Aqua Duck was a blast, the nursery was wonderful for my two year old (he mainly slept there, we would drop him off at night) and the food was soo yummy! And of course, the highlight of the trip for me was Castaway Cay.

Christmas on the ship was lovely - they tried to make it really nice - Santa stopped by Christmas day to take pictures, they were serving Christmas goodies in the atrium all morning, everyone was just in a really great mood and Christmas dinner was delicious. They also had more characters walking around and not so much structure as the days before. I did think the character appearances were lacking - would love to see more besides the usual I guess and maybe leave them out a little longer but I know it's a little harder on the ship.

One thing we wouldn't do again, Atlantis Beach Day @ Nassau - just not our thing. The beach was nice but that's about it - it was too crowded, the food was horrible and we would have enjoyed more time on the Ship. Also the exit procedure off the ship was a bit hectic and crazy but we learned and will do better next time.

Anyway, sorry for the long rant, there's just so much to say!! K, I'm done now :wizard:

I know this is the AKL thread, but I was being selfish since my cruise is coming up in 73 days. Thanks for all the details!!! I was just able to make my reservations this week so I'm even more excited.

...can we switch places? :rolleyes1

Kimmar, your NCL Cruise will be worth the wait! ;) Brandi and I (plus many others here I'm sure!) fully expect you to be "hooked" and anxiously waiting for your next cruise!!! :thumbsup2

Elin, Congrats on 29,000!!!! :woohoo:

Brandi, you're fixin' to pass me (on the post count!!!) and I've got 5+ yrs on you!!! (Disboards-wise!!) :rolleyes1

Elin, Congrats on 29,000!!!! :woohoo:

We love cruising, and I know you will have a wonderful time. I think you will find that you will need more time the next cruise.

Good morning J & K'rs:goodvibes:grouphug:

Elin, congrats on 29,000! Quite an accomplishment!

I also think the announcement has something to do with being open for 24 hrs, I think it'll just be the MK probably.:confused3

So I'm counting down 158 days:laughing: What are my chances of my waitlist coming through:sad2: Scott really missed out on the CL experience last time and is so hoping for it to come through.

...well, I look at it this way:

It's not the time spent, but rather, the experience of actually being on a cruise ship....

That because your second home is WDW not the Dis like me.... One of these days when I can spend as much time as i want in WDW I will be absent from the DIS a lot more...

But then again neither of us is going come close to the Great Kimmar in post counts...

You are going to have a blast! I already booked my next cruise for October 2012 and have one in the works for Sept 2013 :rotfl: Wow, Disney got me good ... oy!

I think you are going to love, and love it so much that the next time you are going to want to be on it longer....

That is all I meant by that..

It will blow your mind with all the activities to do and things to see and watch.
