to make a room request? - got to leave for the airport at half nine-ish in the morning - staying at the POR and should arrive there about 8ish tomorrow night (local time) - from what I've read building 18 in the aligator bayou seems about the best bet - think I've left it a bit late for a faxed request but how about a email one:confused3 - and what would be the best way to write it out? - many thanks

I think you have probably left it too late, but there's no harm in emailing and seeing what they say. You might get lucky. :D

the reservation is in the hands of the resort now (not central reservations).
So the best would be to call them directly. However, it's the middle of the night there now - so i don't know if there's anyone who can help you.

The room assigner will have already allocated your room (it's normally done 3-4 days in advance). There's nothing to stop you asking for an alternative at check-in if you're not happy with the original assignment. The CM checking you in can move you, if there's availability in your chosen location. The problem for us Brits arriving later in the day is that the best locations will have been snagged by those checking in earlier. So, even if the room assigner had received and favourably processed your request, there's nothing to say your room wouldn't have subsequently been re-assigned to someone checking in earlier.

Have a great trip, regardless of which room you end up in. :goodvibes
