....more than that - I just scored R/T non-stop tix outta A/C for less than $200/pp!! Woot-woot!! ($99 one way and $61.50 the other...) AND, we got the same flight as my DS and his GF!

That is a great fare...DH would never let us drive with fare's like that. Good thing Chicago usually has higher ones. Although this time we paid $78 each way...guess I have to get on the plane this trip.

On another thread, I think someone was saying they are going to stop doing sunrise safari next year, does anyone know the legitimacy of this?? I hope they aren't bc I am trying to plan a first time stay at AKL-CL early next year and was really looking forward to doing the sunrise safari.


ps I have been lurking on this site, I have never even been to AKL and the pics have gotten me sooo excited

I do believe (thankfully!) that that information is incorrect. The WDE (Wildlife Discovery Excursion) IS ending; I think 12/19 is the last date. That's the "safari" that CL guests at any WDW resort can book.

No worries - after you have a confirmed AKL-CL reservation, contact the IPO and tell them what you'd like booked. You will be in good hands! You will LOVE the Sunrise Safari!!!

I can confirm that I have already spoken to both Ben and Don in IPO and we are signed up for the Sunrise Safari in April and they already took our credit card info and will send me the confirm # in 3 months when they book officially...so I can happily say that the Sunrise Safari is still going strong! I have heard so many great things and seen amazing pictures, and I can't wait to experience it for myself! For those of you who have been, I was wondering if you have plenty of time to eat at the buffet after, or is the park already open by the time you are eating your breakfast? We'll be there Easter week and I'm curious if we should eat quickly, take our time, or skip the breakfast altogether?

DON'T skip the breakfast!! It is fantastic -- the food is amazing and the guides are there and it's a great opportunity to speak with them. The atmosphere is just beyond anything I can describe!

Yes, the park will be opening just about the time the SS group is heading to Pizzafari for breakfast, but your group is in a private room and it's like y'all are the only ones in the park!

What some have done, if this is important to you, is sent a "runner" to get FPs for EE! If the person in your group is a fast walker, they will be back at Pizzafari before anyone is even eating!

BTW, what is that cakelike thing in the pan that looks like it has apples and cinnamon sprinkled on top? Looks like a slice of heaven in a pan!

It is a warm apple dish that is a slice (well, scoop actually!!) of heaven!! Sorry I don't remember what it's called, but it is delicious!
