is it posible to walk off the food you have overeaten well you are there?

I noticed at most TS restaurants they offer a salad as an appetizer. I am planning on doing this most of the time while I am there............. so that I can save room for the dessert! hehehe:rolleyes1

We're going back in October and looking forward to doing the DDP again. But after losing almost 40 lbs this year with Weight watchers I don't want to gain it back and I don't want to count points.

So my plan is lots of walking and since my 3 children hate kiddie food, I will take at least half of my food at each course/meal and put it on their plates. They love the mashed potatoes and steak and pasta and all the yummy appetizers and would never tolerate chicken fingers or pizza with wierd chicken on it so this is a win-win. They get what they want and I eat normal portions of what i want. Then for dessert, I'm ordering what they want from the adult menu which is usually the same thing I'd get and having a few bites and then giving it to my growing kids.

We'll see how this works but for me it solved the issues I had with the changes to the kids menu and my worries about weight gain in one shot.:cool1:

It's definately not easy, but those that have posted to be on WW know the 'tools' to getting yourself back on track. True, I didn't NEED to eat everything that was presented to me, but...:rolleyes1 I sure enjoyed myself. I might try to tame that side of me a little bit before our trip next year. I too lost 42 lbs on WW & couldn't be happy. Sure do learn alot going there. Anyway, for me WW is everyday living-Disney is a once a year treat.

I'm a WW person too but I normally lose weight at Disney. Last time I lost 4 lbs! This time I have free DDP & will have a 6 month old who I will still be nursing. I have NO idea how much walking vs. sitting I'll be doing (hopefully lots of sitting) and no idea how the free DDP will change my eating habits. Now how the calorie difference of nursing will change things but I'll try to report when I get back!

I wear a pedometer & at Disney my largest day was just over 12,000 steps (for me that's 6 miles)....

I came back weighing about 2 pounds less - but I rarely finished my plate (don't tell mom! ;) )

I always lose weight at Disney! Even WITH the DDP and all the delicious foods... With all the walking that we do it just seems to even out!

I've never gained weight at Disney. We do so much walking that I break even. Plus, we only really eat two meals, either breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner.

In the past, I've managed to stay the same on Disney trips, but my revved up metabolism continues after I get home - so I tend to gain weight AFTER I get home, until I can get my appetite back down to normal.

If that makes sense..WE're usually park commandos, so we go all day and keep a brisk pace. WE tend to snack all day, but not overeat too much in one sitting. WhenI get home though, my body is used to that late night chocolate chip cookie. I don't tend to gain much - under five pounds - but it takes some effort to get my eating habits back in sync with the amount of calories I burn at home.

On our next trip we're doing DDP for the first time, so I'm wondering how that will go.

The dining plan, with all of its goodies + carrying small child around the parks for one week = me bringing home just two extra pounds. Worth every bite of Tony's Tiramisu. :thumbsup2

I eat what looks good while we're there and I always lose weight while at WDW! ALWAYS.
