Is it okay to put family first? (Response to royal family stuff)

That would be leaving money on the table. They could probably get $45 for any favorite character of choice & double that for a pancake that looks like the child. They'd have to make a big deal out of the presentation, of course. Have you seen how much some of the mini speciality "cakes" that are basically two cupcakes stacked on top of each other cost? :scared1:
They could charge $100 a pancake if they let you eat it in a little roped off VIP section...

Top medical care probably doesn’t hurt either.
Of course it doesn't hurt. I was only mildly surprised to see the longevity in my family line going back centuries. We didn't have much medical intervention way back when. So I believe genetics, diet and lifestyle are important factors.

I wasn’t disagreeing with you. I was adding top medical care to the list of factors that contribute to their longevity.

Harry and Meghan are so privileged and yet so pathetic both got sent to public schools, Meghan father paid for college and the Queen treated them better in a lot of ways. one example Kate was not invited to the royal christmas before her wedding Meghan was. In return the pair have been nothing but disrespectful to the Queen they didn't tell the Queen about leaving first they found out by social media, then they got the one year deal when they where asked to run things by Buckingham Palace for a year to make sure it wouldn't be problematic they didn't mention Spotify, Netflix or the Oprah interview. The last one only got found out because a staff member contacted itv for footage then word got out. They are upset they lost the honorary military titles and patronages but they wanted to be out of the royal family, these military titles and patronages are part of being a working royal so they want the fun bits but not the boring bits, cake and eat it despite the fact they are in their late thirties they are throwing the kind of temper tantrum a 2 year old would be rolling their eyes at.

Harry is upset. We haven't really heard from Meghan about this. Her main patronage was The National Theatre, and where the Rugby patronages were very vocal about they didn't want to lose Harry, the National Theatre said they were disappointed that Meghan didn't really do anything for them during Covid, while they really needed it.

I've been thinking about this over the past few days.
Personally I think it was right to strip them of their royal patronages.
I also now think they should now be stripped of the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Those titles are worthy of working royals, which they are now not. I also think they will continue to trade on that name which I find rude and insulting to the Queen.
Obviously Prince Harry should keep the title of Prince as that was the title bestowed on him at birth.
I cannot remember if there is a stipulation that a commoner marrying into the royal family automatically gets a title - i.e she would become Princess Meghan. ( I know Wallis Simpson was made a duchess, but maybe that part of the deal of his abdication? )

I find myself rather cross at them for the hurt and upset that has been caused to the Queen. She is an elderly lady and has served the country impeccably for nearly 70 years. She doesn't deserve this.

I actually think that there is a stipulation that this can NOT happen. To be Princess Whoever, you have to be born into the Royal family. Technically, Diana was Diana, Princess of Wales (not Princess Diana) or Her Royal Highness (while married) but not Princess Diana (despite often being called that).

Or I could be totally making this :)
