Is it okay to put family first? (Response to royal family stuff)

So H&M finally admit they lied about their secret nuptials prior to their wedding. Wonder what other untruths and fabrications were uttered in their bombshell interview? I really believe nothing they say. No credibility at all.

I think more of their statements will be verified as untrue, not sure if they will admit it or not. I think Meghan viewed the interview as a dramatic turn, truth not required. It was all about the effect.

I think you‘re right. It’s as if it didn’t matter that some of the things they said weren’t true. Many will still believe what was said, and if anyone corrects them. they’re haters - end of story.

Or racist. I don’t get what would possess her to lie. And Harry didn’t correct her. She had to have known that someone would try and verify that info

Signing off on this thread. It's been great to share thoughts about this sad and infuriating situation, but at the end of the day this issue is simply aggravating and I'm tired of thinking about it. I so wish that M&H would just fade into obscurity like they claimed they wanted to, but we all know that is unlikely to happen, unfortunately. I'm very tired of hearing about them. I've said all there is to say on this matter, and now want to also stop talking about them and thinking about them. Peace, everyone. I've enjoyed reading your comments.

It’s been a while since we’ve had a yage on a thread. Have a nice day :)

They could be both sharing what they believe to be the truth and what they say may not be factually true, both are possible.

Example, Meghan may have indeed cried about something Kate said before the wedding, and she may still feel what was said was legitimately upsetting and she was properly hurt. If the totality of the conversation were revealed reasonable minds might think that Meghan was simply an overwrought and nervous bride to be under stress and Kate's comments merely expressed some reality Meghan wasn't prepared to hear at the moment. Kate may well have understood that and that's why she sent the flowers and apologized, never really giving it much thought afterwards. Just speculation on my part, but things like this do happen in life on a regular basis. Someone interprets a situation one way, develops a blindspot about it and they are convinced their impression is the truth.

Speaking of blindspots, I think Harry has some massive ones, largely centering around the loss of his mother, feeling let down about his belief he and his brother were destined to be equals within the official business of the royal family, and anything to do with his wife and child(ren). More and more I suspect that Harry is the architect of the erratic path H&M have embarked on as a couple.

It’s like what she said about talking to her about mental problems what did she think they could do? He departments legally can’t contact your doctor to ask about mental health issues and while family members can mention it to a family doctor that doctor can’t comment or start treatment. But considering Charles had therapy and Harry did why didn’t her husband suggest she speak to his therapist?

I don’t get it. What was even the point in lying about that?
Perhaps it was their way of sticking two fingers up to the British public/tax payers/media? You paid all this money for us to have a spectacular wedding, but fools, we were already married. 😂😉 Also, if their story was true, and the Queen knew that the televised wedding was a fake ceremony, then it could have called into question the Queen’s integrity.

Yea and I still think it might also be payback for the Queen nixxing M from having her fragrance sprayed in the chapel on the big day. Goes against the grain of Harry’s What Meghan wants Meghan gets.

Maybe it was an indirect answer to criticism they received about spending, the lavish wedding spectacle, rumored demands they were said to have made. Perhaps they were trying to say, we were already married days before in a way that was truly meaningful to us, don't hold us responsible for the public spectacle.

It's actually this type of thing that's most problematic for me when I have been listening specifically to hear what they actually say about different things in order to decide how credible I think they are. I'm not talking about the technicalities surrounding the backyard wedding that are being debated in the press. I do think that what was said in the interview was likely intended to convey that they said their own vows privately and that it made them feel married and committed and the big ceremony was about other people. What I'm referring to as troubling is a now repeated pattern where they want to share anecdotes in an incomplete or curated way that only reflects well on them, never owning any responsibility for anything even remotely close to a mistake, even a minor one. That's not a sign of people with an interest in putting the truth out publicly, but a sign of self-serving.

Imagine for a moment if they had told the family and the firm that they didn't want the public spectacle wedding. Speculation for the "real" reason would have been like wildfire.

At least Harry found himself a job in Sillicon Valley, (Chief Impact Officer at Better Up) so we don't need any GoFundMe pages to pay their rent.

In his new job, he's described as both Duke and Prince - which I know he still is officially - but it made me think that (especially after their recent interview trashing the monarchy and, by association, the U.K.) their Duke and Duchess titles should be removed.

They could return to being just Prince Harry and Meghan, as they were before their wedding (whenever that was ;););)).

I don't believe for one hot nano second that Meghan didn't want the $30M spectacle. She seems to enjoy putting on a lavish display. AND being center of attention.

So I see in a WSJ article about Harry’s new job that its a coaching and mental health company.
