Is it okay to put family first? (Response to royal family stuff)

Wait a minute..."private" emails? Are they really going down that road again?

No one in the RF should have any personal correspondence with either H or M other than "happy birthday" or "oh my loved the pics of the kids",etc. They have an agenda and are dangerous. They may remain "much loved" but should NEVER be trusted.

I agree.

They’d be “much loved,” but only from a distance.

If anyone is familiar w/ the Enneagram, I’m an INFJ, & INFJs have a “door slam” - meaning, up until a point, we forgive & move on, but, if you keep hurting or betraying us, eventually, there’s going to be a “door slam” where we just proverbially shut the door on you & never open it back up to you.

If I were Kate, I’d be gracious & cordial & kind, but I’d never again initiate any kind of intimate closeness w/ Meghan. I’d be done.

That smarmy “I’m sure she’d want the record set straight” comment Meghan made during the interview regarding who made whom cry at Meghan‘s wedding would have just been it for me.

And what was that about Meghan having to turn over her driver’s license? The day after the interview, Charles, William, AND Kate were seen driving themselves to their various obligations all over England.

Also not a suicide threat or even close, but one year ago today, as Covid was starting to take hold, my daughter texted me to say her roommate was very sick and just diagnosed with flu and pneumonia, but they didn't test her for Covid. And she was sleeping in the bunk above her. I said pack your things, I'll be there in 90 minutes (it's a 2 hour drive). You're not staying.

You would have had a hard time keeping me out of things if I felt my child was at risk like Meghan says she was.
Exactly! Your pregnant, only child???

I'm purely speculating here - but what if the conversation about Archie's skin colour only happened between Meghan and a.n.other person, without Prince Harry being present? He would only be hearing it as hearsay from Meghan. Perhaps Meghan persuaded Harry to not confront the person or make an issue of it at the time? ( either because she genuinely didn't want to make an issue of it at the time, she realised it wasn't meant as intended, or it actually didn't happen).

I know, I know a lot of assumptions. But given other inconsistencies that have come to light, it makes me wonder.

Harry's mad at Charles over money. He's acting like a spoiled child.
Wait a minute; it was Harry who decided to quit public duties (without even telling the Royal Family first) and now he (still with millions to his credit) resents not having the allowance he used to have? What an utter entitlement mentality! what does he think his former allowance was for?

He seems totally naive about how the world works.

With millions dying of the virus and so many ppl in financial hardship, his public griping is in utterly bad taste.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be a senior royal for all the tea in China. Being under that level of constant speculation about my personality, motives, emotional stability, physical attractiveness, and clothes I wore would be my version of hell, let alone never being able to even go to Starbucks without
pre-planning, a full security detail, and a crowd forming. I can't imagine being born into a situation where true privacy in the outside world would never be an option. I wish them all as much happiness as they can get out of life - the same that I would wish anyone.

It's hard to believe Megs wouldn't want to make it an issue. She appears to be all about the drama.

I didn’t watch the interview. The bolded comment from Meghan is almost unreal. Meghan is gonna to speak for Kate in this way????

But here is the thing. Don’t criticize M or her words publicly even if she decides to put words in your mouth unless you want to lose your job or whatever. Kate would not stoop that low anyway, but if we have learned anything, criticize M at your own risk.

I'm hearing rumors that Piers Morgan had to leave his show after Meghan filed a complaint.

Just so people know, in UK you don't have to physically have your drivers licence on you when you drive. Maybe Megan didn't know that, as in America you do and she just assumed the law was the same in UK as in America. Maybe Harry assumed Megan knew about this law, as its something thats automatic to him, something he does not even think about.

Time and again I just see a clash of cultures, the American thinking being a member of The UK Royal Family was just like being a Hollywood celeb, but not knowing or understanding the unwritten rules and protocols and generations of tradition and the British Prince assuming she knows this and that as most UK people know it.

If only there was a place she could type in some words and look some of this stuff up.

Like I said, criticize Meghan publicly at your own risk. However, the rule about throwing people under the bus doesn’t apply to Meghan aka Ariel. “She has found her voice.”

It's hard to believe Megs wouldn't want to make it an issue. She appears to be all about the drama.

And she also appears to like rewriting history.

This is going to sound callous (& I don’t mean it to be), but we don’t know that Doria wasn’t in contact w/ her daughter throughout her time in the palace. Maybe they were talking every day on the telephone - and, maybe Doria thought her daughter was doing okay.

Because maybe things weren’t as bad as Meghan now is claiming they were.

The courts will often ask “what would a reasonable, sane person do?“, &, in looking at this particular situation, we’ve all said, as mothers, we’d be right there to help & support our daughters if we felt at all like she needed us or was in the midst of any kind of mental anguish.

But Doria wasn’t there for any kind of extended time, so would that say that Meghan wasn’t struggling as much as she now claims to have been?

And, again, I’m not saying mental health is not important or that mental struggles are not real... I just find it very, very hard to believe that, if Meghan had been badly depressed & expressed a desire for help that everyone around her, including her own husband & mother, would have ignored her. I can see possibly the palace saying, “We don’t think an extended stay at such-and-such spa in America would be prudent right now, but we’ve made arrangements for your mother to join your family & a therapist will also be contacting you to set up regular appointments here at the palace in your rooms... if that therapist doesn’t work out, please inform us... blah, blah, blah...”

I just think Meghan is now trying to paint herself as poor, caged, silenced duchess who barely got away from the big, bad Royal Family.

Piers quit on his own terms, saying freedom of speech is the hill he’s willing to die on (paraphrasing).

But it was determined that Meghan had called the CEO of the network to complain about him (despite their once being acquaintances).

It will be interesting to watch the ratings now on GMB, as they’ve been up since he arrived there.

well considering how so in so many trip reports I have read over the years from Americans who visit Europe and expect things to be as they are in America and then come back here and complain about this and that, such basic things as the lack of air conditioning in European hotels, I would say she is just typical of an average American. If only there was a place American tourists could type in some words and look some stuff up

Lesson to be learned here, don’t turn you back on Meghan
