We're set to sail on a 3-night cruise after Thanksgiving, but are considering delaying our trip for spring break. Is this easy to do? I honestly might want to switch from a 3-night to a 7-night over spring break, and am flexible with the ship.

Are you already within the 60-day penalty phase? If so, you’ll be subject to penalty if you reschedule now (it would be considered a cancellation and rebook). If you have trip insurance you may be able to collect through that.

If you can claim Covid exposure you can cancel within 2 weeks of the cruise date for no penalty. Be aware any other travel plans (flights, car rental, hotel, etc.) may have penalties by then, and trip insurance may not be refundable.

The new cruise will be priced as of the date you book it.

Thank you! My family is begging me not to do this, so we won't need to reschedule after all.

The best solution is to just do both cruises 😉. You may have a one time out if you wanted to cancel and rebook the other cruise because of the change in covid vaccine policy that just occurred. Here’s the language from my email from DCL:

Guests booked on the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy or Disney Wish October 14, 2022, through January 31, 2023, may modify or cancel their sailing by October 11, 2022 without any Disney-imposed cancellation fees. Please contact your travel agent for details on how to cancel or modify your booking. Please note that change fees and cancellation fees imposed by third-party suppliers, such as airlines and hotels, as well as travel insurance, are not refundable. Refunds will be processed back to the original form of payment. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply for any cancellation or modification requests received on or after October 12, 2022.
