Is IG open for early Segway tour?

I just booked the Around the World at Epcot Segway tour for my husband for Father's Day. I signed him up for 8:30 a.m., and he is supposed to be at Guest Relations at 8:15. We are staying at BWV. Will he be able to enter Epcot at the International Gateway that early (probably around 8:00 a.m.) The person I booked the tour through didn't know for sure, but thought yes because (he thinks) people coming in for the princess breakfast can enter that way before the gates are officially opened. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am not an expert and don't know anything about the segway tour, but I can tell you that we ate at the princess breakfast before EPCOT opened last february 2005. We entered through one of the main turnstiles. They had 1 way on the end that was just letting people like us in. They had a list of names of people with early ressies. Hope that helps a little.

Not sure but we just rode some Segways at the Md Science Center at the Inner Harbor . I might have to get one now or at least do the Epcot tour .

Yes, we did the Segway tour last trip, staying at the BWV. They have one gate at the IG staffed to let folks in for events, tours, meals, etc. before the park opening. Just give them your name and tell them what you are doing and they will let you thru and point you in the right direction!

I just booked our tour for our upcoming trip, this week. The CM I spoke with told me that since we're coming from BWV, through the International Gateway, to bring our confirmation number with us and give it, along with our names, to the CMs working the gates.

She also told me that Guest Relations will be on my right, next to Spaceship Earth, coming from the back of the park.

DH and I did the Segway tour last week and entered Epcot through the International Gateway. We were at the gate at about 5 minutes to 8 but the "list" of people who had various reservations had not arrived. The security and gate CMs wondered what to do for a few minutes because they couldn't find the CM with the list. Then, one resourceful CM just picked up the phone and called Guest Relations (where we were supposed to meet for the tour) and confirmed we should be let through. All was well after that. The walk did not take long and we were there in plenty of time.
