We want to take our ds2 to Epcot just to ride nemo and went ahead and made an ADR for Coral Reef. Will we regret doing this? Is it child friendly? He loves our fish tank at home:)

If you get a good seat near the fish tanks it is great. We took our 4 year old there this year. They also give crayons and a kids menu. It is very loud in there, and has loads of kids, so don't worry as long as noise doesn't bother you or your child.

We had one of the best meals of the trip there! Great service too!

I think it tends to be one of the more adult dining venues at WDW. However, with all the glass, it also tends to be very noisy. There are only a limited number of tables located near the window; most are away from it. If the restaurant is full, you may have a long wait for a table near the window. It is also rather dark inside.

We loved it, sat right by the glass! But, we did notice the noise. Our then 12 year old has problems with lots of noise and I was worried, but he was so excited about the fish that he had a great time!

Great mahi mahi!

Yes- on your ADR ask for a table next to the tanks.
Kids get a menu which have the fish in the tank and then the fun begins to find them in the tank. Bring some extra crayons. :fish:

The big turtle was asleep on a rock next to our table. The turtle woke up during our lunch and 'entertained' our kids.

Sometimes divers come down and say 'hello' to people eating at the Coral Reef.

The Macaroni and Cheese is Karft and just as good.

The bathrooms are very clean too. They are just past the check in desk on the right.

Thanks .....we cant wait to try it...I will ask to sit near the tanks!!

Don't expect to sit next to the tank and you may be better off not sitting that close. Disney won't guarantee a tank side seat and it may be best to sit further away for a full view of the tank. Also with kids that young things appear so much larger than they actually are, so he might get scared close up. These are real fish, sometimes really big fish and turtles that aren't quite as pretty as Nemo! We sat in the middle tier and I thought we had a fabulous view. We aslo loved our lunch, so no complaints on anything at CR!
