When are kids out of school? Mid June? We plan to be in DL Jun 3-10 & was wondering how the crowds will be during this time?

We plan on going at this time. The earlier in June the better, since a lot of schools don't get out for a week or two. We always go at this time.

Last year even with Nemo opening that week, we hardly ever waited in lines. It was really nice. As June goes on the more crowded it gets!

That makes me feel a little better. I'm also guessing that the weather will be nicer (hotter?)... can't wait!!!

I like the early June weather! They have that "June gloom" in the morning, which makes it just mild. Then when that burns off in the afternoon it gives way to warm weather. But not super hot like in July and August. Last year there wasn't much June gloom though, it was pretty toasty!

But it's definitely swimming weather either way!

My sister's kids in San Diego get out of school somewhere in the third week of June. We are going to be there June 1-6, looking forward to lower crowds and nice weather! :thumbsup2

We are going June 2-8 (7th-8th in San Monica). I was concerned about the "June Gloom", but we are from Texas so some cool and cloudy will be a treat! It is our first time in CA in early June!

We go this time a lot. Busy season is not officially until mid-late June so prices and crowds are better.

But the weather is usually pretty nice and the entertainment starts to ramp up.

I forgot to mention...

Grad nights can be going on about that time and also the Southern California Passes start getting blacked out the 5th of June which means it'll be a little busier right before then.

Is it still there around the week of June 13. I really don't want any clouds ruining my vacation. I want it all blue and sunny!!! Can you please help me?

Well last year we were there on June 13, and no we were quite surprised that were wasn't any June Gloom that week!

Even if there is, it doesn't stick around all day. By noon it's gone and then it's nothing but blue skies! :) I like it because it pushes off any real heat until the afternoon.

Blue and sunny is not so typical So. Cal weather , it will be afternoon usually.
Vegas kids get out June 4th .......thats when we head out!

I'm going the 10th for a few days for my bday, dd8 isn't officially out of school until June 12. I love June gloom! I think it keeps the temps at bay a little better. It's usually hot and sunny by late morning anyway. Just don't forget your sunscreen even in the morning, those UVA's and UVB's will still get ya!

We will be going June 15-18th, and the Disneyland Hotel is fully booked. We have reservations, but I am surprised they are so booked up this early. I hope this doesn't mean there is something big going on then.

I am happy to be going June rather than August--learned our lesson on that one last August (heat stroke city!).

I love Disneyland during the first week or 2 of June. Its my favorite time to go. The schools are definately still in during the first week. During the first week usually on thursdays they have a grad night where they close the park early.

So since they extend the hours from closing at 8 to 11 during week days they will close the park at 9 for the grads to come in. I usually make alternate plans for that day so I can take full advantage of all the hours of the park.

The weather like others have said "June Gloom" breaks off by noon and get toasty but bareable warm. It cools down in the evening so you will want to wear longer pants and possibly a light jacket. But during the day you can wear short and tank tops and splash and get wet on all the water rides and dry out in 20 minutes.

Hey stop giving away our secrets of the first two weeks! ;)

I agree about making alternate plans for the day they have Grad Night. That's what were doing this time. We plan on doing Universal Studios that day. That way we get the good long hours all the rest of the days we are there.

toy story midway mania opens the weekend of 13-15th:cool1:

We are leaving DL on the 13, so now have to really hope they have a soft opening sometime Monday-Thursday.

I haven't heard anything about the gloom but it sounds like it will work in our favor. It can't be as hot and humid as Florida in September!
