Is anyone else starting fresh or refocussing on January 1st?

Restarting for me.

Had a baby a year ago, and the weight is not off. I had tried to work out months ago, but the baby schedule made it really impossible. NOw that things have finally settled down, I'm back to regular workouts (finally!).

I started WW online on 01/02/09... I have pretty much cut out soda (diet or otherwise) I actually can't remember the last time I had a soda... I bought yogurt- grapes- whole grain bread- lowfat microwave popcorn... I'm a snacker so I'm trying to snack healthier. I'm also going 10 pounds at a time. I will reward myself for every 10 pounds. Not sure with what- but NOT food. Any ideas??

Congrats on the baby! And now you are right, it is time to give yourself some time. What kind of workouts do you do?

wow, cut out soda???:worship: I cut out McDonalds and potato chips, I just don't think I can cut out soda! Great snacks you've got lined up. Hmmm, I guess some ideas would be a good book, new exercise DVD, new clothes, earings, some other jewelry, a massage, pedicure/manicure... I think I could go on and on!:rotfl:

I have to admit I am having a hard time adjusting to not eating out. It surely is a struggle. But DH is making some great meals, so that is helping quite a bit. We had chicken for lunch and then he is making homemade chicken soup for dinner.

I still have to get up and exercise, I feel pretty blah today, so I know I have to get up and do it, even though I don't really want too...

I'm in as of today too! :cool1: I have 80 lbs to drop. Just taking a little at a time. The biggest focus for me is exercise the rest will take of itself. Exercise is such a struggle.

Good luck everybody!!

MASSAGE!! That's it! A massage for every 10 pounds. Thanks for the idea!

You are welcome! Now I want a full report after your first 10 loss of how great the massage was.

I'm in as of today. Here we go again!

You betcha! We can do it, we can do it, we WILL do it!:goodvibes

WHat kind of exercise do you like? Remember to try and change things up a bit so it doesn't get routine or bland. ANd as you exercise more, your body is going to want more!:thumbsup2 (exercise that is!;) )

I'm actually doing pretty good. I have been going 5 days now without regular chips and McDonalds. Seems like once I get that reigned in, I can really work on losing weight. When I allow myself Mcdonalds... well... it isn't a pretty sight. So for now, no Bigmacs, fries or big'ntasties.:scared:

I am really feeling pretty excited about losing weight this year. I am going to DLR in August and can't wait to WANT to be in pictures and I can't wait to do Grizzly River Run. I didn't do Kali River rapids, not sure why it scared me regarding weight, but it did. I want to do Grizzly River Run so bad! The time will pass no matter what, but how I decide to spend that time... exercising and eating right is up to me, and I know I CAN DO IT!

We got a Wii and Wii Fit for Christmas which we are all enjoying. I didn't do any Wii Fit yesterday or today as I have had a slight fever. I did do some bowling and tried the light saber duels game tonight. I hope to feel better tomorrow. We are going to cut out eating out and budgeting for groceries that will hopefully help the waistline and the wallet.
Massage is a great reward! I'm a massage therapist so I highly recommend it to all!;)
Good luck to all!
