Is 12 months enough time to plan?

My SO and I plan to become engaged within the next 2-4 months and are considering a September 2017 wedding at Disney World. Due to some life circumstances, we won't be able to begin planning until September 2016. Is twelve months enough time? Would it already be booked? We are semi-set on a particular date (a Monday - long story).

I'm mainly concerned because plenty of couples on here are already booking for 2017, the Passporter Guide to Disney Weddings has an 18 month planning timeline (although I imagine I could rework it for 12 months if needed), and the official Disney Weddings website does say you can start the process earlier than the 12-month mark. As a Type-A person, those things combined have me paranoid!

Totally! I am totally Type A and planned my Wishes wedding in 5 months, and I've seen people do it in less! (Sorry the timeline in my book scared you - it's more for people who are bored while waiting to be able to start working with DFTW :teeth: )

We booked and planned our Wishes wedding 5 months out for a Sunday. DFTW makes working on a crunched time schedule easy. You should have plenty of time to plan in 12-months.

We planned everything out in less then 2 months. Granted we aren't having a DFTW wedding, but we are honeymooning in disney.

We got engaged 2 years ago and had originally planned to go to Pigeon forge for our honeymoon, until I changed my mind after seeing the Disney new years parade.

It was on new years day 2016 that we decided to plan the wedding and disney honeymoon.

As of me wiring this post, everything is paid for, booked, scheduled, ordered, etc...

I've booked and planned in 4 months my Escape wedding.... I started at the start of November...for what the ticker is saying.
Midweek availability was pretty good tbh. I certainly didn't feel like....these are the days you can choose...

I felt the most date pressure from the dress shops (although it does depend on what you're looking for) as they would say.....WHEN!! You want it WHEN!

Once I found the lovely people at a couple of shops they were all...right....I have this this and this...and found a dress I fell in love with!
