I don't have an instant pot and use just a Ninja slow cooker. I've seend different "instant pot sauces" at Walmart and my local grocery store. I'm assuming it's just a regular sauce that I can use in the slow cooker? I mean there's nothing special about having to use them in the instant pot, right?

I don't think there's anything special about them that mean you can't use them in the slow cooker. But I'd look at the ingredients and see if you really want to use it. Many of these pre-made cooking sauces have a lot of salt and additives.

I've used those sauces interchangeably and also used the sauces with other cooking methods such as electric skillet and traditional oven roasting. I haven't noticed any changes to the taste of the sauce.

The Instant Pot is a pressure cooker. I mainly use it for stews. I can save an hour or two.

Most sauces you can make in a skillet. I don’t know why you’d need a pressure cooker to make sauces.

There's nothing special about them, no. You could use them in any type of cooking, they just found it's good marketing to sell 'simmer sauces' 'slow cooker sauces' 'instant pot sauces'
etc. Especially when things like the Instant Pot get trendy. Do check the ingredients. It's usually so much better to just add some bullion or stock and spices.

I'm guessing the sauce is to put in the pot with meat, or something else to make a recipe. Not to make a sauce by itself in the Instant Pot.

I know it's not your question but I LOVE my instant pot. I use it several times a week. I use it for soups (especially with dried beans which can take a long time on the stove), hard boiled eggs, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, rice, ribs ... I highly recommend it if anyone is on the fence about getting one.

I love mine too. You can proof bread in it if it has the yogurt function. Cuts Dutch oven bread proof time from 18 hours to 4. Same results.
I make ribs, chicken and mashed potatoes in mine.

Every Sunday I use my Instant Pot to cook chicken in spices. Takes less than 45 minutes, and is so tender it falls apart. Gives me enough shredded chicken for a whole week's worth of lunches.
