It looks like a goldfinch - female because the yellow isn't that bright.

I'm a bird-watcher, so I want to thank you for all the fun you've given me this morning trying to figure out that bird. Right now I have 4 bird guides stacked in front of my computer! I agree it's probably a female. But in the picture, the bill doesn't look quite the right shade. And the wings aren't as black as in my book (although birds have their own colors-they don't read books too well!). I vote for a tanager, based on the picture, but I still wonder how reliable the coloring is-it could well be a finch after all.

no one believed my road runner story untill today my Dh was in the car today with me when that roadrunner came running accross the road !

Of course when he said " hey did you see that ?" I said " What I saw nothing because roadrunners DONT live in the city remember " LOL needless to say he believes me now !
