IMO, I would say LeCellier (even though I know many on these boards are big fans!) in EPCOT. I just wasn't thrilled with my meal here. I mean, it wasn't bad, just nothing special. Part of the reason could be that we ate here immediately coming off our 7-day cruise after eating like pigs the entire week. I don't know.... What do you think is the most overrated restaurant at WDW?

Chef Mickey's .. the food is terrible. Recently read a post where someone from the UK asked why Americans loved the wall paper paste potatoes (paraphrasing but it is close to what was said). I too couldn't believe all the reviews that raved about those horrible cold bland things. Of course everything else there was over cooked, bland and cold too. I really do nto see how they avoid food poisoning if the food is always the temp it was when we were there. The perso ncarving meat thought my med-rare prime rib was suppose to have no hint of pink to it and DH's med prime rib was suppose to be blood red and cold. At least I could eat DH's piece. My piece was however way beyond well done. NO one ever mentions the set up of the restaurant, which apparently was not intended to be a buffet with its many rooms and upstairs section. The service was non existent. we saw our waiter when he took our drink order and when he dropped off the check. Drinks were left on the table (by another server) as we returned from our second trip to the buffet. The music way too loud and so everyone had to scream when they talked. The character interaction was good, but that was the only glimmer of light in an otherwise horrible meal.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. I just don't see why people like this place!

The restaurant in Mexico was another major loser. Horrible food, too dark, and the worst service we've ver had at WDW.

OK don't flame me. When we say "overrated" we don't necessarily mean "bad", just that it didn't live up to expectations.
I'm going to say Cinderella's Royal Table(especially for breakfast).
I see all the effort that people go to to get ressies, and I am so thankful I don't have little ones to entertain any more. We have eaten there several times over the years, but we never jumped through the hoops most seem to to get in there. I'm not saying it's "bad" but the effort to get ressies makes it overrated for me.

O.K. we weren't that thrilled with Citrico's. Our server was rude and my scallops were undercooked. My whole family was a little dissapointed with the entree's. Desserts were much better.

I never expect to much as far as the character meals go, just there for interaction and autographs.

:D

I would have to vote for Chef's de France. For the price you pay, I would expect more than something that tastes like it came out of the freezer. The children's menu is also poor.

We finally had dinner there in December after many years of wanting to go. We were very disappointed.

I agree that Le Cellier is overrated--I found it good but not out of the ordinary.

Cindrella's Royal Table--not only is this overrated but the food is quite mediocre.

We ate here years ago, and it was great, now prices are 19 dollars for enchiladas, I mean come on......I spent 75 bucks for a mediocre meal 3 months ago and will not do it again. Yes the ambiance is wonderful! BUT a great choice is right outside this pavilion. THe Cantina? Heres my advice: Go ride the ride inside , Rio Del Tiempo, go outside, order burritos, great kids quesadillas, and margaritas next door, and get a seat for Illuminations. You will be 40 dollars better off and the food is great!

The Flying Fish. Nikole may agree with me on this one

I'm going to say Cinderella's Royal Table(especially for breakfast).

Mica... I agree totally!!!! That was one of the worst meals we ever had at WDW.

The 50's Prime Time...It takes talent to play those gimmicks and not let your audience control the atmosphere.
If most waiters there went through one of Simon Cowell's talent auditions, I am sure they'd be selling water and ice cream in a cart instead.

It is a hype

No contest--Fulton's.
A nice location and decent food just can't overcome the pathetic service we've had the 4 times we ate there.

Another vote for Cindy's breakfast. Food was bland, service was rushed. If this meal was not held in the castle I do not think it would get many good reviews at all.

I always hear everyone rave about Tonys, but we were very displeased with the food and atmosphere(fruit flies all around us). Not only was it bad, but it was way over priced. I dont usually think WDW restaurants are expensive like some people, but $17.00 for gross spaghetti I think is a bit much.

Can I pick two most overrated?

LeCellier is definitely one of them. After reading all the rave reviews, we tried it for lunch. I'm a big steak eater, but this place served me the worst steak I have ever received anywhere. If it was just the steak, I could live with that, but, absolutely nothing about the entire meal was in any way anything more than mediocre.

The other is Yachtsman's Steak House. Our service was slow, the waiter was bordering on rude, (when we saw him, which was infrequently). By looking at their prices they are obviously very proud of their food, but this pride is unwarranted.

My vote for most over-rated restaurant is Hollywood & Vine. What a huge disapointement. Food was just so-so. It was not at all what we expected.

Coral Reef. Food was ok but nothing special, small portions, high prices. The atmosphere was beautiful, but our overall experience was underwhelming.

Fulton's was the worst. The wait staff was rude and service was awfule. The food was ok, but I can get the same food 50% cheaper at home!
