Countdown Chain!!!

Only 327 days left!

One a completely un-related note ;) I bought new window treatments at Kohls this morning during their cyber monday sale (I really, really, REALLY hate the valances that you can see in the pic there. They are barf :crazy2:

Love this! I could not sit down long enough to do this!

I got a 2013 DVD in the mail yesterday! I was so excited- poor DH thought I had done lost my mind. It's almost exactly the same as the 2012, but the "jacket" of the DVD is New Fantasyland and there's a new snippet in the Magic Kingdom section about it.

Yay!

I ordered a new DVD after seeing your FB post too! :goodvibes It's funny how the little things get us all excited. You'd have though I hit the Powerball! :thumbsup2 No such luck around here! :(

What!! There's a new 2013 DVD??? On my way...

D~

Joining in! I caught up on your PTR while doing the treadmill--it made it much more enjoyable! :rotfl2:

We are going in March 2013, but October is usually our favorite time to go! Can't wait to read more about your plans. . .your countdown chain is AWESOME! :thumbsup2

I also ordered the new planning video - even if it isn't much different, I can't wait to see it :goodvibes

I AM BOOKED, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!

Thanks to Target and the ridiculous gift card deal, I put down my deposit and we are a go! It's really happening!

So, guess what guys? I'm officially in the 200s! I hit 300 days a couple days ago, but was too busy with Christmas preparations and last minute work stuff that I didn't have time to post about it. Today is 297 days til Disney

I hope everyone had a lovely holiday (Chanukah or Christmas or Giftmas or Festivus or Winter Solstice or whatever else floats your boat). The kids had a great time, and we technically have more to celebrate, as we have another Christmas time to do with extended family on Friday. PB's favorite gift was a new Beanie Boo unicorn (I kid you not, dumb thing cost me $5 at Justice :rolleyes2 but she loves her new tablet too). Jelly got a million and one diecast Cars sets. His personal favorite is Wasabi Mater and monster truck McQueen ("Frightning McQueen :lmao:). He also got an RC monster truck that is WAY too old for him, but he has a blast with.

IIIIIIII got a new coat from my DH, and while it isn't a color *I* would have chosen, he put so much effort into it that I love it because he tried so hard. I also think he's trying to talk me into a Colorado ski trip with it (it was a new Spyder jacket and hat/gloves). Good luck with that one! :beach:

On to Disney news... I'm really trying to decide between the regular Magnolia Bend buildings and taking the plunge into a Royal Room. Reason being, I have zero desire for a Alligator Bayou room :duck: Not my style, and NOT what I want. I LOOOOOOVE the Magnolia Terrace building, and it looks (from a map perspective) good for PB with the shade ratio and the proximity to the East bus depot, Ol Man Island and the Marina. But I'm terrified that all I can do is request and hope for the best. Doing a Royal Room would only cost ~$200 more... But THEN I might get Parterre Place, which likewise is far away and close to the "quiet pool", which we won't be using (it looks way not shaded like the main pool). I really only want 1)Magnolia Terrace, 2)Oak Manor, or distant 3)Acadian House. Blah.

I've also been trolling around Andre's portorleans.org site and drooling over pictures. It's truly my #1 choice for a resort - so lovely. (Except Alligator Bayou :crazy2: :duck: )

Congratulations on hitting the 200's and Merry Christmas. It sounds like you had and are having a great time with the family. As I love to ski, a Colorado skiing trip sounds like heaven to me. :teeth:

I hope you get your choice of room at POR. It truly is a wonderful resort.

Hey ya'll! Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a good one and is doing good on whatever resolutions they have going on. Mine was to stick with my budget and start hard-core saving for our trip. Well, New Year's Day morning (like 9:00) I ran to Target to pick up a couple things. DH calls me while I'm there and APPARENTLY Jelly decided to try and burn the house down :furious:

DH made the kids pancakes (in the microwave, I pre-make them and freeze them for later) then went to the bathroom to shave for the day. While he was in there, Jelly decided he wanted another pancake, and could figure this microwave thing out for himself. He knew the time it takes (he pays attention, and helps out a lot with kitchen stuff; he likes to 'help'). He hit the '4' too many times, but didn't know that would be a problem. Couple minutes later and PB is yelling for DH that Jelly needs him... meanwhile there's billowing black smoke, the microwave is fried, as well as the outlet. So I got to buy a new microwave that I wasn't planning on, as well as the stuff needed for DH to re-wire the outlet. We spent the next couple hours attempting to air-out the house (with it being 30 degrees outside) and scrubbing the kitchen and all it's contents. I had to take every item from every cabinet and scrub the bejesus out of it. Awesome. The ceiling needs re-painted and my wallpaper is shot, so we're ripping it out and painting. JUST what I wanted to do. Lovely.

We also got to take the kids ice-skating for the first time this past weekend. We had been planning on it last year (my little town got an ice rink that they set up in the ball field, but last year it never got and stayed cold enough for it to freeze). PB picked it right up. Jelly was a different matter, and ended up quitting after an hour or so because friends came and he couldn't keep up with them (but then, they're all PB's age and he's, ya know, 3.5). He didn't do terrible though, so I have hopes for next time.

I ALSO got some things for our flight to Disney in a mere 285 days! I got some really cute shirts from a fellow Oct 2013 DISer, as well as the bags the kids will use as carry-ons using my DMR points. The duffles are actually bigger than I was expecting them to be; it's close to PB's gym bag, which is really nice. I think they'll appreciate the pillows too, since this is Jelly's first flight and PB's first without a car seat on the plane. Hopefully it'll make them comfortable.

Love the tshirts, and those duffle bags are great! I saw them on DMR too :thumbsup2 But I used all my points before Christmas to get the Jim Shore Eeyore figurine. Slowly rebuilding my points so I am ready the next time they have Disney gift cards for redemption.
