Boy am I splurging...just got back from a 4-day on the Wonder and booked a 7-day West Carrib on the Magic. Anyone have any info (likes/dislikes) on Cat 3's? I'm a little leary of a stern room (8100) it's also handicap-accessible...is that a disadvantange for the non-(physically!) handicapped person? Thanks so much for your help!

We stayed in 8600 on the Wonder in Sept. 03. We loved the room. There are 3 of us - DW, DD (9) and me. The only disadvantage to a handicapped room is that there is no pull down bed. There is the queen bed that can be split and the sofa bed. There is also not a tub - just two showers. The advantages - a little bit more space than a regular Cat. 3 - and a huge verandah. The verandah is all metal - so if you have little ones - they have a hard time seeing over the railing - and you can't sit and watch the ocean. We loved the stern position for easy access to Deck 9.....

Let me know if you have any other questions... The Concierge staff is wonderful......

The only cat 3 I've stayed in was 8048, and I would not recommend staying in that one, or any close to it. There was a lot of early morning (4:30 - 5:00am) noise coming from deck 9; tables and chairs being moved, rolling carts, etc. Also, the night of the deck party was very bad, until the party ended. I've read good reports about 8032, 8532, 8034 and 8534. Those also have a triple wide balcony because of the room layout.
