Since Dancing Inferno Magic Is Now A Very Rare Prize From Treasure Detector Magic, How Much Has The Rarity Gone Down? ( If At All ) :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 Anyone Know?

you can get inferno from treasure detector magic ?

This was just a rumor that it was 'possible' to get Inferno from Treasure Detector. No one has actually gotten it yet. I hightly doubt this will be a prize considering the rarest thing found was a sorcerer hat. That doesn't rank even close.

Someone I talked to said their brother got inferno, and i went, and i actually looked at the inferno. The kid was not "new", per se, but he definitely did not have enough rare to get Inferno by himself. I may be wrong, and the girl may have lied but as far as i know, i see no reason why she would have lied.
Sorry if she DID lie, but i did see the inferno.
Confusedly yours,
Silver

Wouldn't 5000 credits be worth more then that hat?

Hula didnt seem to think that TM would yield Inferno.... But she also said she wasnt sure of all the things it would give...

As for 5000 being worth more than a socecer hat... hmmmm you can not buy that hat anymore, you might be able to find someone to sell it to you for that many credits, but then again you may not...

by my estimation, from what i have seen, inferno is not that rare, it is just "coveted" the most - in my VMK travels, I would hazard a guess that about a third of all VMK players have Inferno, much more than actually have stitch hats, but for some reason people think inferno is more "rare" than a stitch hat, go figure - my advice, set your own value and stick with it.

I wanted to add... I think the ATIS EYE pin is more rare than inferno....

Significantly more rare.

The fact is that Inferno! is not, and has not been, rare. The reason it's not a Host Game prize is that it was becoming "too common." I also hypothesize that Yavn & team knew they were going to give a lot of Inferno! out as a prize for the Ride Event in August (there were between 20 and 80 given out to the winning teams), so they decided to take it out of the game for a little while.

Yavn has said in the past that a White Snowman was an equal trade for Inferno!. This was long after the White Snowmen were no longer being given out and Inferno! was still being given out in Host games. Not much has really changed since then - many many Inferno! have been given out (including this month), and the White Snowmen have not made their return. Yes, the Holiday Quest this next month with have Snowmen, but that will come to an end again and Yavn, himself, has said that Inferno! will be given out again next year (I believe starting in January, but we'll see).

There have been significantly fewer Mighty Eye and Tomorrowland 8/9 Pins given out. Most beta items number a lot fewer than Inferno!. Inferno! is not rare - it is "coveted," as mtlhddoc2 stated. The true value of Inferno! is a lot lower than most people would like to admit...but these are the same people who want Inferno! to be highly valued because they own it. (yes, I have Inferno!, in case you were wondering)

I got a white snowman, gold snowman and about 8 other rare things for my inferno.

You may have received quite a bit of stuff for your Inferno!, and many people might offer lots of really great stuff (beta, retired, etc), but I was merely stating that Yavn, himself, said that a White Snowman was a fair trade for an Inferno!. He's also the one who said it was wasn't as rare as they would like it to be, so therefore they would take it out of the game for a while.

Inferno! being very coveted, however, you are not going to be able to trade for it that easily.

I believe that Yavn said that it was possible to get inferno from treasure detection magic, but it's so rare it's likely not making the value go down at all.

The value is all about what people are willing to trade for it anyway. Even if there are a lot more infernos than snowmen, people are willing to trade more for inferno so it's "worth" more, even if there are more out there.

1/3 people in the game have inferno? There's no way. Think of it this way: there are probably about 200-300 (just an estimate) infernos in the game, and there are at least 4,000,000 characters created in this game. 1/3 is way off, and people value inferno a lot, because here's what I figured out...

In Spin it to Win it, there are 3 generators. To get inferno, you must get a certain combination, so you have 1 chance. If you figure out how many possible combinations there are, it would be 216. (6x6=36, 36x6=216) so you have a 1/216 chance, which is very very small.

Yes, there are a lot less stitch hats, eye pins, tomorrowland 8/9s than there are infernos, but inferno is so highly valued (probably because it's magic) that people would probably be willing to give 2 of those, which is part of the meaning of value. I have had 2/3 of these, and have had nothing like inferno offered to me.

Lots of people have been wondering if it's possible to get inferno, but here's how I figure it. If the chances are anything like winning spin it to win it, there would probably only be 1 maybe 2 people who got inferno from it right now. I know word gets through the kingdom fast, but this has only been out a few days.

If you're complaining about it's value, it's really mostly a matter of opinion. Since part of it is something you are willing to offer and they are willing to accept, you would have to offer exactly what they wanted to get it, and chances are they want more than you are willing to give, that's what is the hardest part of trading. It's a long, tedious process, but eventually it pays off.

Well, hope this helps a little!

wait... 200-300 infernos?
are you serious? I personally know about 100 people with 5 star infernos alone, much less all the people I know with 1, 2, 3, or 4 star infernos - I have come accross more than one person with a full window of one star infernos, yet you really think there are only 300 of them in the game? Personally, I believe 1/3 may be a little LOW - and do not believe the "4 million" figure. My best guesstimate is that 3 million 500 thousand of those are mules or multiple charachters

Wow, many people have many different opinions on how many infernos there are and what they are valued as. I personally agree that inferno SHOULD be worth less than say, a stitch hat or beta, but no one values it that way, for some reason. Having never had inferno, i cannot say why that is ;). I DO think that inferno is available from Treasure Detector magic, but alas i have no totally guaranteed proof.

Thanks for all the posts,
Cade :goodvibes
