Inexpensive jeans

Thank you, disfan!

I've heard that prednisone can be really nasty. Glad you are off it. As for the unintentional weight loss, I'd recommend exercising (if you can) to firm up & as a way to stop the weight from coming back.

I buy pretty much ALL of my jeans at Marshalls -- good brands, too, like Seven, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Bill Blass, etc. And I've never paid more than 25 bucks for a pair (usually a lot less, since they very often have great clearance prices). I got an awesome gray pair of Seven jeans at Burlington Coat Factory last week, too - for only 14.99 :)

Thanks! Yeah I am going to be back in the gym as soon as I am cleared for it. I had brain surgery in June so I was out of the gym for about 2 months. I finally got back to my regular exercise routing in septemeber adn was doing great until I got sick at teh end of october. At that point I cut back to only twice a week because I was so tired all the time. 2 weeks after I first got sick, I had to cut out the gym completely. I just couldnt do it anymore with being so tired adn sick along with my school schedule. I just had surgery again last week and I am cleared to go back to doing cardio next week and I should be cleared for weight training by the end of january so I am thrilled about that.

I love going to the gym and was spending about 8 hours/week there when I was going on a regular basis so I am thrilled to eventually get back to that!

I buy Lee jeans because they are the ones that fit me. And as a plus they are VERY "vanity" sized. So if you are a size 12 you can buy a size 10. I usually can get them for under $25, generally $19.99.

I buy all my jeans and capris at Sam's Club!!!! My Sam's Club carries the BandolinoBlu brand, same one that Macy's carries. Macy's sells them for $40 (right now on sale for $29), Sam's sells them for $15 or $16.

They are the best fitting and most comfortable pair of jeans that I have ever owned:thumbsup2

I get most of my jeans at Kohl's, usually on sale for $20 or so. My current favorites are some Lee jeans with a "comfort waistband". It is a soft, stretchy cotton because I have no waist and if I get pants to fit in the waist, they are baggy everywhere else. This gives me the extra room I need. Also, the waist sits AT my waist, not above, not below, AT. They are SUPER comfortable.

Just wanted to say that I am on the email list for Ann Taylor and the Loft. The Loft is now offering 50% off of all purchases from the website and in stores.

Anyway, I hope that they find out what is causing your weight loss! Good luck.

I really like the common genes line at JCPennney's. I'm about your height and a size 6. They run $25-30 on sale and they are really good quality, a heavier denim.

For fairly inexpensive jeans I like Old Navy. . .lots of different cut options. I also really like the JCPenney St John's Bay ones. They fit me well. . .but I'm more of an apple than a pear.

It's a unisex rule, and so far that hasn't made a difference.

Yes, so what do the women in your household wear? Getting the right fit for jeans, and clothes in general, is harder for women than it is for men.

I have found some really nice fitting jeans on QVC..... I have several pairs of Motto brand. Really happy with them~

Old Navy Sweetheart is also pretty good. My Mom wears Old Navy Flirt...

Well, the ladies are out (shopping :scared1:) but looking in my wife's closet I find 2 pairs of LLBean Jeans, and 2 pair of Old Navy all size 12, and in my daughters closet I find 1 pair of Vigoss (a brand I have never heard of) that I suspect she bought at Ross, 1 pair of Levys and 2 pairs of Old Navy all size
13.

I am surprised to see my wife's jeans are women's, she used to always buy men's jeans.......she used to have a horse and found the cut of men's jeans far more comfortable for riding.

Thanks tvguy! I have not tried on LLB jeans. I am surprised that they would be in your price range.

As for men's jeans, I can't wear them. I have way too much in the hips and rear.

Have you tried Gap and/or Old Navy? You might be able to find a pair that fit you well there, and they run some good sales.

Old Navy and Target or American Eagle

Interesting, "too much in the hips and rear" is why a lot of my wife's friends buy men's jeans, because they are cut bigger in the butt.
