Indestructible dog toys??

Our Golden has many of the toys from West Paw and they have lasted for a few years now! Duke chews up any other toy labeled "for aggressive chewers". One time, I spent $87 at PetsMart for softer toys for him, and they were all destroyed within minutes. *sigh*

He has the Jive balls, Tux, Hurley and Bumi, all from West Paw.

Good luck!

My dog loves to pull the stuffing out of his toys .I just started putting the stuffing back in and letting him pull it out again. I do that until there is nothing left to stuff. I buy stuffed animals that do not have things he could swallow at yard sales.

It's a Australian company but check out aussiedog toys - they make a lot of toys for zoos and they are really tough, my old german shepherd used to love his 'chook' toy and couldn't destroy it!

My current dog is a collie and is a lot gentler with toys - he loves his gogo dragon too much to destroy it! Tuffy toys he does eventually pull apart and for the price I'm not sure they are worth it - I tend to buy cheaper kong soft toys and they last just as long for him.

Elk antlers on Amazon! We buy the $30 XL for our 75 lbs puppy. We have had him one year, he is 13 months old and just bought the third one. The last one lasted from October to now. He ate all the "tough" toys in minutes!
We've taken in a stray, the sweetest 34 lbs of doggie... who has destroyed every toy we've given him so far. I bet I have bought $100 worth of toys so far. He even destroys those toys rated to be extra tough. Any suggestions for good chew toys, he prefers something fabric.

Proceed with caution. My daughter works for an emergency veterinary group practice and they do not recommend antlers of any kind, nor rawhide or bully sticks. They see too much intestinal damage. FWIW, my two 20 pound power chewers like the Kong "Wubba" and Benebones - so far, so good.

Same here. What has helped is I buy the toys from Amazon and look for the reviews of persons with big dogs and the toy has lasted. So far this has worked great!

Thanks, we'll look into it. Intestinal damage from just chewing or from swallowing it whole?

Be careful with that. Our golden had to have emergency surgery because he swallowed the stuffing. We were watching him just pull it out and didn't realize that some was being swallowed.

The West paw "Jive" ball available from amazon has been indestructible for a 65 lb mix that demolishes anything but these balls. He loves to chew and chew and chew. Can't say enough good things about them. They are great and indestructible. This dog loves them. The 2.6" fits nicely in the launcher for throwing too. Balls come in different colors and are around $10 and worth every penny.
