Incredible MK Fireworks

Just got back from the Fireworks at the MK and they were beyond belief. For those that don't know on the 4th of July and on the 30th and 30st of Dec the MK fireworks are from two locations. One is the standard one and they also have a mirror one from I believe a barge in bay lake. We saw them from MK back on 30 Dec 2005 and they also had in the finale simple white ones from or just behind the stores on Main Street. This year for the finale they shot off major displays from all around the Park like from what we could see approx 8 locations. Also, the ones we saw tonight are the same as tomorrow with the count down to midnight and something new was the count down was actually done with fireworks where they shot off fireworks that showed the actual numbers from 10 down to one and they looked great. With this fireworks tonight Disney as Emril says has "kicked it up not one but two notches". Our son was overly impressed since he has seen the dual ones on the 4th, but this is his first over Xmas and said this would be incredible when viewed from the CR CG. Well, I got back and looked up and yes they do have a NYE celebration from the CR, but they are very, very, proud of that event .... $450 per person . Next time we're here over Xmas we need to come up with an alternative to the now $900 plan

I only wish I could be there! It sounds like an awesome show! I think I could enjoy just being in the Fort for NYE and not go to the Parks! Glad your having a good time! Thanks for keeping us posted!

Or - for a mere $10/person you can take the special NYE Hayride & see the fireworks in a panoramic view from behind the 300 loop on Bay Lake. Or... just walk back there & save the $10!! This is the first NYE since 2001 that we have not spent at FtW. The panoramic fireworks are shot off from various locations at CR, GF, PR & MK. We unknowingly were next to a launch site at the exit to the parking lot of the CR one time, and thought we were under siege!!

FYI, Larry - if you go to the level of the CR where all the shops are, there is an outdoor patio at the end where the liquor store is. It offers a tremendous view of the fireworks... and it's free!!

I've stayed in the 300 loop and have walked out to where you mention along the bay( daylight ) Isnt FW marina between this spot and MK? I have watched the nightly fireworks from the pier and not from the 300 loop. I'm curious why you think its better here?

Seriously - the view from this part of the lake is totally unobstructed & is directly lined up with the castle at MK. Also, FtW has the music piped into this area (loudly) because this is where the hayride stops to view the fireworks.
