In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Cathie -- FYI, the market fresh sandwiches at Arby's are high in calories. Check their website. Also, sometimes the salads and wraps can be just as caloric as a Big Mac or Whopper.

I am a Coke Zero gal, which has all the chemicals but at least none of the suger/calories. :)

Ronda -- that picture is awesome. Good luck on Saturday. I'm sure you'll be great!!! :worship:

DH and I have jumped back on the healthy eating wagon this week, and so far, so good. Aerobics class starts back up tonight after about 2 weeks off, so that'll help too. I'm feeling pretty positive so far (hee hee, after a whopping 3 days into this plan). Looking forward to my Tuna Noodle Casserole for dinner tonight after class.

Have a great day everybody!!

Yeah, I know that even Arby's and the wraps and salads aren't good diet wise. I really try to avoid eating out at all. But if I do, becuase sometimes before school that's all I've got time for, I figure at least a salad won't make me feel awful all night. Shove a whopper in my face and you'll find me in the bathroom all night  Honestly though, I really really really try to avoid eating fast food period. It helps that I don't really care for hamburgers.

I had tried Coke Zero, and it still tasted like diet soda to me. I know after time you adapt, from what I hear from all my diet-soda-drinking-friends anyway, but I just can't get over that taste. I need to just kick the whole thing altogether.

That's great you still have a good attitude after three days though! Sometimes 3 days can be really tough to get through. The more motivated you are, hopefully the further and further it'll go. :)

Today I am feeling GOOD. REALLY GOOD. :)

Meeting my goals so far this week, and did pretty decent last week on them, only missed my water one day. Going to my best friend's younger brother's basketball game tonight at the high school I went to, so we'll probably spend a good amount of time walking around before and after the game and during halftime. In fact, I'm going to insist on it. And like a good friend, Breanna will oblige and walk around with me :)

Had a productive team meeting this morning in which some issues were actually solved (those don't happen too often haha), and a productive meeting with my boss in which we discussed some issues and I talked to him about my promotion. I'm getting close :):):) Feeling pretty good about my annual review coming up. I fell a little short on one measure, but more than made up for it on others, so as long as our departmental goals are looking good (which they should be, since we've been keeping inventory at 2 days almost all year), our raises should look pretty good this year. :woohoo: Today is one of those days when I LOVE my job. Problem solving, helping other people, and making the system work better. Love it when it's more than just mindless number crunching :)

I am back and missed everyone. I need to hold myself accountable and not leave this board. Oh...I forgot about the smilies.
Heather :flower3:
goals- to walk, to run and then swim, bike, run
weight- to firm and maybe lose 5 or 10 pounds
I really want to couch to disney 1/2 marathon 2011

Just saw something on the news that struck a chord with me. They were talking to a boot-camp trainer who takes his class on a trip to the grocery store to talk nutrition. His statement was: You can't out-train a bad diet.

k- now it's time to steam some broccoli

GREAT point, Nancy!

(She says, drinking her DC) :lmao:

You know, gang, it's the little things adding up. Just like in romance movies, all those little gestures good or bad make it work. One day I'll give up diet soda; that's not today. Today I'll eat well and track. Tomorrow I'll make sure to get in calcium. Etc etc. My weight loss was a lot of little things added up and my so was my weight gain.

Dawn - and everyone else - don't feel bad. Wasted emotion. We all constantly have to pick up again. That's life. Teaches us resilience. :goodvibes

/
Liz, you are so right.

And, I am not giving up dt soda right now either. Or salt.

I love hamburgers. Although my home-made hamburger made with 4 oz 96/4 lean hamburger, laughing cow cheese, for a 275 cal cheeseburger beats fast food anyday. :)

Nothing beats fries. Nothing. I just need to order a small and track, rather than a large and not track.

This time around I need to concentrate more on how to fit my treats in a healthy diet rather than giving them up all together, anyhow. The 'this is the last' mentality is what leads me into binging.

KAT! I am SO proud of you! No more deprivation! YES!!! Small fry is perfect. Major turning point for you! :cool1:

Finally! It has been brutal logging on for the past couple of days!

Good Morning Everyone.
(peeking from behind the self - inflicted shame curtain)

I need to go back and re-read everything from Dec 16th on and vow it can be done by Friday.

Trip was good. Holidays were the worst ever. Not even exagerating an ounce.

Dawn--and anyone else is this position--don't EVER feel bad about starting over. OMG, my whole life is a do-over! Seriously, where would anyone (in any field or activity) be if they gave up and didn't keep trying? Thank God we all have the will to keep trying.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but what made the holidays so asstastic?

I gave up soda last February. I used to drink 1 can of Fresca every day (ah. my beloved Fresca.

Careful there, Nance. You're showing your age! :lmao: Do they even MAKE Fresca anymore??? :lmao:

Have a great day everybody!!

Welcome back, Lisa!

Holy crap! Heather! You can't just pop in here all nonchalant like that. How ARE you? How is Beau? Still playing basketball? And what about work? Whatever happened there? Are you working now? Same place or somewhere new?

You can't out-train a bad diet.

OMG, I need to tattoo that on my body. I swear, that might be the most helpful thing I've ever read.

watching BL. Crying. These people are just enormous. so, so sad. :sad2:

DON'T TELL ME. You know I am TiVo'ing it!

KAT! I am SO proud of you! No more deprivation! YES!!! Small fry is perfect. Major turning point for you! :cool1:

WORD. Way to go, Kat!

Careful there, Nance. You're showing your age! :lmao: Do they even MAKE Fresca anymore??? :lmao:

Watch it smartass. Yes, the still make Fresca. Not only the original citrus flavor, but a peach & a black cherry as well.

Now...just try and find yourself a Tab :rolleyes1

OMG, I need to tattoo that on my body. I swear, that might be the most helpful thing I've ever read.

yes. That really spoke to me. I think it's going on my fridge for a while. 100% of my weight issues are due to the things that go into my body. That's why I workout like a fiend and still gain weight. My body just doesn't know what to do with what I'm trying to feed it. (stupid body. You'd think it would have learned by now :rotfl2:)

Me, I'm fat bc I eat and drink too much and only exercise if my pride is at stake. Sad, but true. :lmao:

Nancy - great words to live by. That is going on my fridge as well.

Welcome back to all those crawling back on the wagon. I am one of those people as well :goodvibes. But, we have to start somewhere.

Had a good eating day and a good workout tonight w/ Jesse - all core then did my walk for the 1/2 training. Feeling more in control.

Cathie - keep working on kicking soda to the curb. Your body will thank you for it. Try flavored seltzers if you craze the fizz. Give it time - you will get there.

Hi Heather - welcome back

Kat - love it when you post your food, it gives me so many ideas

Ronda - it is getting closer - so excited for you...

ok - falling asleep so I am off to bed...

Me, I'm fat bc I eat and drink too much and only exercise if my pride is at stake. Sad, but true. :lmao:

WORD!! OMG that is is so me.

Have I mentioned how glad I am you are back to play with us?

Thanks to everyone for the congrats on the attitude shift. It's part of the new 2010 I don't want to be fat anymore campaign. Hopefully this time it will take and stick! Obviously the last time didn't work, and since the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result...

And Nancy, I love Fresca. So no, you aren't old. Well, not for that reason anyhow. ;)

E, LOVE the word asstastic. LOVE.

Hockey kicked my *** tonight. 4 on 4 with no subs for 80 minutes. Iron man hockey... I am so tired.

So, today I spent on the phone interviewing a bunch of candidates for a job we have open. Talk about making me thankful for my job and my life... it's so sad to hear the desperation in people's voices.

Well aren't you just Susie Sunshine this morning! :lmao:

Nancy is right, team. Let's GO! Everyone, post your goals just for TODAY. One day at a time. What is your plan for today?

Me:

--Water. Word. Still flushing my system from holiday overindulgence.
--Track. Ouch. You all know I hate it, but I'll do it.
--Run. Natch. ;)
--Weights...this is a stretch goal for me. Might not make it, but it'll be a bonus if I do.

Seriously, for the next week or so we are going to post our DAILY goals. ALL of us. And maybe it is your rest day, that's fine. Post it.

Goals:

Track
Drink water
Go to Weight class and treadmill - this is hard bc I'm sick. Don't want to be, but there it is. :sad2:

But I did track the last two days, and I took my measurements on Monday!
