In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Hi everyone.....

So I'm new to this thread, but I have heard that this is a place that will kick my butt when I need it, so I thought it was a place worth checking out :thumbsup2

My name is Cathie, and I'm 23 years old. I live in Colorado. Normally, I live on my own in an apartment with my two fur-babies in Thornton, close to Denver, but as of late I am staying with my family in a little house out in the country, where I was raised. Toooootally not a country bumpkin, but I really had no place else to go, so there I am!!!

I live with my mom and dad, and for the time being, my brother. He will likely be incarcerated soon due to stupid choices he decided to make, but for now, he lives there too. I also live with my parent's dog and cat. Needless to say, my fur kids and theirs don't really get along!!!

I have been trying to lose weight for a long time, as I've been overweight most my life, even joining weight watchers for a while last year, but gave up. Recently I decided enough was enough and rejoined weight watchers. Monday was my first official meeting.

I have a wonderful boyfriend/fiance whatever you wanna call him that I've been with for 6 years. He loves me the way I am but is supportive of my decision to lose weight for a better all around me.

Ummm. Yup that's about it :)

Oh, and for the question of the day....generally I'd say the perfect body, but if you had great wealth, you could probably afford enough surgeries to get that, couldnt' you???? I mean, that's cheating, but still. ;)

Lyz - this is a tough question to answer, but I think I am going to buck the trend and go for the cash. Money may not buy happiness, but neither does a perfect body. Money does make life a little easier though - and would certainly pay for more sessions with Jesse... lol...

Cathie - welcome to the party!!! Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself and your little fuzzballs... (don't worry, I am a cat fan and called my own that...) Jump right in with any questions or comments you may have. We don't hold anything back around here.

Welcome Cathie. To the party. We post alot so you'll find a good amount of support here.

I would pick the cash. And then buy the bod.

Definitely the cash. The bod would be nice, but the cash would be nicer. And I would get my pool. ;)

Welcome Cathie!! Glad you joined us. :goodvibes

Cash, definitely!

Cathie - Welcome! :cool1: I love to read peoples stories

LisaV - Forgive me, I seem to have not mentioned your new home - I absolutely thought I'd commented. Anyway, Congratulations! I had a look at the floor plan, couldn't find a virtual tour on the website? I cant wait to see pictures!
Oh, and I love the pictures of your old place, and the town you lived in. It looks very cool!

Erika - Thankyou  That post is EXACTLY what I needed right about now.

Ronda - Hi :flower3:

Liz - I am not a mum (obviously) but I do have very fair skin myself. From being a tiny baby my mum always used high spf on me, and Ive never had sunburn! I am very VERY careful in the sun, and that is because of the care my mum took with us when we were younger. We never went to the dermo, but we did have the yearly check up with the doctor - I still do.
Sorry for babbling! :upsidedow

Kat - I still cant believe the ending of CSI:NY - I watched it again yesterday

I have very fair skin as well (the ladies here who have met me can attest to that!).

I can't either!!! I really liked Flack and Angell together and am totally bummed. I can't watch the whole thing again... I have to say, though I do like Stella. I think that they make her unsympathetic at times but I like her anyway.

Okay, seriously?? This is the LONGEST FRAKKIN DAY EVER. It is only 4:30. I feel like my cats, sitting at the sliding glass door hoping against hope that someone will let me out...

Yes, thats it - she seems unsympathetic! Some episodes shes ok and some shes....not! It was only this last series that I thought it - maybe because she kept disobeying Mac :rotfl:
I really liked them together, he seemed so happy!

And I agree, today has been such a long day! It dragged at work - today has been the hottest day of the year so far (almost 90 degrees!) and a compulsory part of my work uniform is tights (nylons) - my legs felt like they were being slowly baked!
I hate when they put men in charge of uniforms :lmao:

On the plus side, I weeded all of my garden when I got home from work so that was very good exercise!

Welcome, Cathie!!!

I would take the cash and hire a trainer and cook to get me the body I want!

Weekend plans- Fri night - fireworks. Sat - family picnic/gathering at my house. MIL is bringing ALL the food :thumbsup2 (I love my MIL. :lovestruc), Sunday - Becca goes to camp for a week :cool1:

Liz--I am right there with you on the being the crazy-obsessed-about-the-sun Mom.

I'm sorry. What is this "sun" thing of which you speak? :confused3

Wow, this is what I do. But I don't get paid. Hmmm, I think I'm getting a raw deal.

oh I think you should definitely get paid. Talk to HR. See what they can do :goodvibes

My MIL is visiting us this week (see returns home Saturday).

Did I mention that I love my MIL? Really I do. She's awesome. Hope you have a good visit.

Question of the Day:

Would you rather have big wealth or a perfect body?

Money. Neither can buy you true happiness, but money can give you more opportunites to do stuff you like!

I'm about to sabatoge my day! Went to the farmer's market this afternoon - got some Cilantro Pesto (YUM) fresh bread (double YUM) and local sweet corn...Gotta have the bread & pesto...and perhaps a nice glass of red wine!

WELCOME, Cathie!

No time for a real post right now, but just want to answer Lyz's question.

I'll take the bod. And if it really is perfect, I'll just strip and earn the cash! :rotfl2::lmao:

Going to the gym now. OMG, the rain has not stopped for even a second today. And it is torrential right now.

Well I guess the phone sex operator and the stripper have a new business and we all can get a pool. SCORE!!!!!

Holy crap!!!!! Did you just say you've never had a sunburn Snow White?

Kelly - gosh man - nothing to apologize for. The drama of my housing or lack of has been endless. And today I made a very stupid choice to clear out pictures.

And I got a tad sad - should never have done it. I took most of those photos to show you guys and just never did.

Kat - you know what I absolutely ADORE about you. You are so straight forward. I loved reading about Chicago and how you said, once in awhile, you feel it. That's you. The truth - not trying to make someone feel better. And in the end you did. Because the fact is I never wanted to move and once in awhile I will feel it too. Life.

I am excited about the new place folks. :goodvibes Seeing those pics by surprise I guess was like seeing an old love in a picture.
