Okay - need to catch up on weekends...but this weekend was really good...
Baylor had his first hockey game on Saturday - we did not think he would be able to play after the burn this year at all...and he did awesome...all the aprents were glad he was there...very welcoming...and he scored! I cried...I am so proud of him and all he has overcame in such a short time...he was the last ine on the ice to warm up because it takes him a while to bandage his leg - get extra protection against blisters etc...and he is concious about doing that in front of the guys...so hopefullythat will ease as well as time goes on...
Then Dan and Baylor and I spdent the day - shopping...went to Trader Joe's...(does anyone have them by them?) and I looove that store...bought a Flat bread (sort of) that is almost an exact replica of the one at Chefs de France in Epcot...called Tarte J' Alsace by Maitre Pierre...8 oz and 4 servings at 150 calories each...
title says "A French Style Flat Bread with ham, carmelized onions & gruyere cheese." The other amazing thing is the stores policy is if you buy something..do not like it...bring back the box/reciept and they will give you an exchange or money back! The place has all organic/natural/not processed good foods...and low prices...
Found some Gnu bars there to try and got fiber cereal!
The pupp's name is Ace. Yup...Baylor's dog and he settled on a name finally...it has been good BC for all of us...Baylor said "if this is how much work a baby is...I don't want one"... we have all been taking nights getting up to let him out at about 4am...have a kenel now and he is adapting well at it...
I will try and post a pic of him today...
Need to find my cord to connect the camera with the computer! Moving my office was great fun and still have a few boxes to sort! It better be in there...
Tom is here again...I used to only have him visit 2-3 times a year...now he is a reg. pain in the tukkus...
Okay - that is it...finished New Moon...off to get the 3rd one...addicting...better than chocolate...really!
Love Trader Joes, but they aren't around here.
Can't wait to see pics of the new addition! I am so glad that somebody else knows what a tukkus is. Some of the college kids at work think I am an idiot when I say that.
Awesome for Baylor! I am sure that was tough mentally on him.
Anyway, it was a depressing shopping day -- I didn't like anything I tried on, so bought some track pants and shoes and that's about it.
No thanks...I would have to move to Iowa!
But I will do the consulting gig and their money offer was fair. Not great, but certainly inline with what others offer, so I can't complain. One thing about my line of work is that often times it is exploding while others are losing their jobs. (The government has the re-education program for those who lose their jobs, so many down-sized people can go back to school to finish their degree or get a new degree, thus online universities have enrollment booms. Then those universities call me to design their programs, etc.)

just kidding. I can't chime in on prepping the kids, but it sounds like a good idea.
You so totally rock!!! What huge changes you have made already!!
The Princess 2010 should be 3/7. It is daylight savings weekend which kind of bites. Instead of getting up at 3 though, you will be getting up at 4.
Pencil it in. If you go, I will make every effort in the world to be there too.
This is where I want to go if I move from our little paradise here. Oh wait, I did that and moved back.
Then to dinner where I was the first to arrive and no one had called for ressies and we had 12 people landing in a matter of minutes.

Hopefully, it won't be as bad as last week. Today is the kid's first day back to school on a normal schedule and it is strange! We live on a deadend street, so there is still a bunch of ice and slush on the road. Ryan is going to be unhappy, but I am taking him. If I slid last night, there is no doubt he will.
