In Our Prime

I packed up the snacks tonight (not the drinks)
for our waterpark trip...

Tuesdays are busy, not much time tomorrow eve
and we will leave by 9AM Wednesday (three hour drive, I am figuring)


DS and I played volleyball tonight in our church league
and I had only three good serves all night
the first of which won the first game for us!
at least my timing is good!


I don't know why my serve stinks....
perhaps I need a little practice after not playing for 16 years!

DD13 is missing her musical theater class on Thurs
we won't be back from waterpark fun

and auditions for the musical are to be then
so the director said she could do an early one
tonight

DD13 lamented, whined, stressed and panicked!

but she auditioned
seemed like it went well
and now we are stress free to go to Kalahari (that rhymes)

I have several bags of snacks packed
(my kids are big grazers)

and just need to throw a couple swimsuits in a bag for DH and I

the girls are taking three suits
one for right away
a dry one for after dinner
and a dry one for thursday

I enjoyed reading it tonight
colorful, glossy, recipes, short articles

DD10 is beckoning
she wants me to check her packed bag
and make sure she isn't forgetting anything

(so it can be my fault if she does! )
(naw, she isn't like that, DD13, that is a whole 'nother story!)

GOtta get that gal tucked in
this is way past her bedtime
(it is the weekend for us)

and she NEVER sleeps in
even when there isn;t a big exciting waterpark day ahead!
