going to downtown disney the nite before we go to disneyland - can you enter downtown disney from the main entrance now?

thanks

Not sure about getting into Downtown Disney but yes you are allowed to leave and return to the park.

edit: According to freshbaked's youtube the harbor side entrance is open.

I have no idea but thinking they will restrict capacity with security monitoring access Into Downtown Disney.
When are you going ?

Ya got me all hungry now for a Double Double...thanks.

I was super confused, and about to show my Canadian. A "Double Double" to a Canadian is a Tim Horton's coffee with 2 milks and 2 sugars. You're basically born knowing how to order this.

As a Canadian, we're obviously not coming for a while. I never even thought about capacities in DTD.

I thought you were talking about the burger joint lol. I always hear people raving about In and Out Burger in California (I've never tried it on any of my trips, and we don't have it in Canada).

Nope. There is no barrier to entry into DtD from the Esplanade. They do not have to limit capacity anymore, except in sit down dining locations. Under Orange tier guidelines, retail can be at 100% capacity, although Disney is still limiting capacity on their own by using physical queues and virtual queue for some stores.

Not to completely high jack the thread, where is the closest in and out burger to DL?

If I may slightly hijack this thread, what's the best way to walk to Downtown Disney from the Residence Inn at the Convention Center? If we take Harbor, we'd need to pass through the esplanade. Maybe we can walk along Disneyland Drive? It looks more direct but I don't know about anything nowadays, it's been 11 years since my last visit!

Harbor is still the easiest way.

Looks like it's 2.3 miles from the esplanade: north on Harbor, east on Ball, at the corner of E Ball Rd and S State College Blvd.

Definitely use Harbor. My husband and I walked west down Katella to Disneyland Drive and up to get to DtD when we were staying at the Red Lion once and I regretted that decision because that block walking on Katella feels SO long. We did that to bypass having to deal with security because they didn't have it at the west end of DtD at the time.

To be clear, there's security for DtD now, not just at the Esplanade entrances.
