What are the temperatures by you?

temps in oregon vary in relationship to geology. coast is always cool, the valley has been low 80s to mid 90s the last two weeks. centeral oregon varies every 50 miles north/south along us 97. the house we were staying is always the coolest temps in the tv weather broadcast. whereas 200 miles north,on the clumbia gorge it ccan be in the high 90s, wind/ high temps coming off the plains and little influence by marine air. not sure what the temps are in the valley for the week as we are back in the valley for duration of summer. summer being defined on how needy our new dog is on august 20th and fires. my last oregon chemo is mid august

My 17yr old - this is going to be her 2nd knee surgery on this knee. She’s been dealing with knee issues since 2018 when she tore her patella tendon, and then 2019 she got a plica impingement (surgery #1 was done to fix this) and she‘s had chronic pain since. The orthopedic is going to put a scope in there to look around to see what’s going on - she needs to get better before college next year. She’s the toughest kid I’ve ever known - even with this pain she plays like she’s 100%. I‘m praying we get some answers so she can get some relief. Surgery date is on August 4th. Thanks for asking

The humidity is down this morning, and it feels good. We are meeting pool friends to have lunch together. I haven’t been to pool yet, need to be released to swim after my surgery, May 26. I hope to get the go ahead on Thursday!

Sounds like my daughter on her tenacity.
She always gets mad when people go out of games for little scrapes. She is a "suck it up and keep going girl". 15 years of soccer and 9 years of karate didn't hurt any,

Good luck with that surgery. Aug. 4 is DS's birthday, so a good and lucky day for it.

filling in the blank of a carl's recipt with survey code....has wonderful customer service today....they brought the requested carl's sauce to our table with order, did not have to get up from table and ask again for the wonderful sauce, first time in 12 years that sauce was included as ordered. wife has a hard time with fries, so she needs the sauce. I usually fill out the survey because it is a tough business but seldom use the offer. Praise makes the world go round.

...coming from enjoying the layer of marine air clouds from the ocean 56 miles away. Usually come in on hot weather, anyhow they were always a treat for sisters and I when we spent our only summer as migrant fruit pickers in Oregon. Strawberry picking can be tough in the relentless sun and mud, so the marine air for a day always increased our earnings and spirits when picking fruit.

and my spirts are always lifted when working in the garden, wife daughter has no help to maintain her massive yard, so once again under a cloud layer I trimed, dug and pulled weeds and soil clods around plants in her front door entrance that is never used hence neglected. wife says come in for breakfast....what??? and waste a cold 65 degree morning???/ eventually the clouds receeded back to the west and sunshine drove me in for a massive salad lunch....not necessarily the sun, but just one more burden to deal with while working with chemo in your body.

* shopping at habitat for humanity. picked up a nice carved 3' sign "SHANGRALI "...seniors get 10% going to sell it at yuma farmer market

* casino gave me $5.00 of free play, I won 30.00 above my ante, and machine read with my card that i won an additional $60.00, that was unintentionally put into the machine.

* best Chinese American food on the west coast and my fortune cookie read " a word at the right time is like apples of gold in a network of silver. they gave me free crab puffs for my birthday...long time cutomer i am and they know me by name.

* free frozen large carmel mocha coffee from west coast chain

* anticipating a full moon tonight out my open bedroom door....though will be to bright for my Persoid meteor shower of birthday candles.

I’m looking forward to today - DD17 and I are going out to breakfast and then going to really fun mini-golf place. Her and I are always together for softball, but we haven’t had time to do something fun that’s not softball. Thursday’s are my day off and we have only 3 left before school starts. Since next Thursday we’ll be at a tournament, and the next one after that will be 2 days after her surgery, we need to take advantage of today. It’s going to be a great weather day - it will be fun!

Today is my older DD’s 23rd birthday. We normally celebrate her birthday at our house, but it’s not going to work out this year (on her end) It’s weird to have her birthday be today and not be with her. I hope her DH buys her a cake to make her feel special.
