Maybe she can support herself for a while. I read this afternoon that Kate is being considered (or has already been added?) as a temporary host on the CBS version of The View, whatever it's called.

That figures. A wanna be host for a wanna be show.



I am so glad this show will finally end. I'll admit we did watch the first 2 years or so. Haven't watched since TLC saw fit to broadcast the break up of a family & I realized how opportunistic & sick this was. I'm sorry to say I watched the replay the other day. What I saw didn't surprize me. If Kate stays in TV & especially if she moves these kids to LA, I think it's more likely we'll be hearing about the kids, rather than from them. They seem to be developing their mom's entitlement mentality. So sad.

What? I will admit I haven't watched the episode but did she really do that? I'm sorry but she is even more of a lowlife than I thought. NEVER talk bad about the child's other parent. What a loser!!!!

I was actually kidding about her having a picture of herself and then Jon with a line through it for Old Faithful... I did say that I couldn't resist!

By the way- she does talk bad about Jon at almost every opportunity she gets, heck she did it even while they were married so clearly does not share the same philosophy as you, I do though.

Anyone remember her lil' meltdown on that Sarah Palin's Alaska? The Palin's were being so cordial and kind to her and her family, and she was just pitching a big freaking hot-shot fit. It was digusting.

I wish she'd fall off the face of the earth. And the kids. I, as some PP's mentioned, can not WAIT for the tell-all books.

There was a thread when that episode aired and you know what's funny? The only time I've ever seen such a civil thread where people weren't bashing the Palin family was when they had wonderful Kate to compare them to .

I said this trip is what did her in not the episode, IMHO her behavior was so over the top during this trip that the network had no other choice but to cancel the series. The nanny said goodbye and left the group, the kids are seen crying watching her go. Where does the network go from there with a star that shows no self awareness of her terrible behavior and erratic parenting?

It is so sad what she has turned into. I still remember one of the first shows and how sweet and kind she seemed to be - waking up to make Jon's coffee before he went to work and taking the kids one by one to the basement to play in their first house. Fame ruined her.

I totally agree. That and pure greed! She is one of the most selfish parents I have ever encountered. SHe gets so upset with the paparazzi. Guess what, if you don't want them don't put your family on tv. It is very easy. Just look at how her appearance changed to. It is quite first she puts herself first before anything else, including her children. Very sad because I think it's them that will suffer the most. They will have such a delusional view of what reality is.

I agree with this..except..it was JON who got up early to make the coffee before work......Kate would still be in bed..she is not a morning person.

She even had a post it note for jon on the kitchen cupboard with intructions on how to make her perfect coffee!..then Jon would take it up to bed for her and leave for work.

There's only one major problem with this theory... if you survey the landscape of today's popular "reality" programs, you'll see that people behaving "badly" and personal conflict are viewed as desirable by the networks. Real Housewives, Toddlers and Tiaras, American Chopper, Dance Moms, Outrageous Kid Parties, Jersey Shore, etc.... you name it, the networks generally know that people will tune in for train wrecks. But if the eyeballs aren't there, then the show is canned. Up until a couple of days before the cancellation announcement, both TLC and Kate were both saying that rumors of the shows demise (triggered by its absence in TLC's Fall scheduling) were untrue. The show has been in a steady ratings slide, which is the kiss-of-death for any series, no matter what the TV Execs think of the show's stars. All indication are that it was a last minute call after putting the show in the "wait-n-see" column by TLC. The RV trip happened in July and I doubt that the first time TLC brass heard about the "blow up" on the trip was in middle of August.

The Nanny then reportedly takes up for Jamie and declares that she's "sick of" Kate's "dramatics". Gee, that was really worth torching a friendship over, wasn't it?

What is interesting to me is that there are, or have been, many shows on TV about large families. She is not unique in that aspect. However, she is the only one that is followed around constantly by papparazi.

I think the reason for this is obvious. It's because she relishes the attention. She craves the notoriety, and she now appears to put her "fame" ahead of the well-being of her children. When she was shrieking because people were taking pictures of them it was just drawing more attention to herself and the situation. So what if someone was taking a picture?? Had she quietly ignored it, it would have been much less disruptive to everyone. Even her friend made the comment that she didn't see what the big deal was.

I really don't think this is the last we will see of her. She isn't going to disappear from the limelight that easily.

The word is that Kate will be guest hosting on "the Talk" on CBS not "the View." I've never watched it and hadn't even heard of it before, but it seems to be a newish copycat versionof the View lead by Sharon Osborne and Sara Gilbert. I wish Kate luck. She wasn't good as a guest host on the View, just played with her papers and looked really nervous.

I saw the preview for next week where Kate is screaming her head off at Ashley and Jamie over a slice of pizza. Quite ridiculous, but not so much of an unusual "breakdown" -- just typically rude and demanding Kate behavior.

I don't think that Kate's shows can or should be compared to the likes of Toddlers and Tiaras, Real Housewives, Jersey Shore etc for the one simple reason that the premise of Kate and Jon being put on TV was because people wanted to see how they managed a household with 2 sets of multiples. Their story was endearing and the two of them were very "regular" people in the very beginning. They were not a "trainwreck" that people wanted to see fail, at least not until fame and money went to her head and she became a total witch.

A lot of what Kate has become is directly due to the choices of TLC as a network, they enabled her "entitled" attitude by providing the trips and front of the line mentality that she thinks she and her children deserve. They also knowingly set her up to show the not so nice side of her personality and exploited the demise of her marriage.

This trip was the last footage that TLC recorded of the family, back in July. If they didn't have some doubts at that time, then I think they would have made attempts at more shows just in case things went well with the ratings but the truth be told, her behavior on the RV trip is so appalling that they knew they couldn't salvage anything with Kate going forward. For a family that has brought TLC some of their highest ratings and ad revenue, I think it is sad and very telling that TLC would end the series on the negative note that they are playing up in the previews.

I think that TLC and Kate are equally to blame in all this. No one made her become what she has turned into. Kate has always been a shrew, its just that she had cameras shoved into her face. Compare the Gosselins to the Duggars. Those shows have been on for about the same time and the Duggars have gotten just as much notoriety from it. But they haven't gone crazy with the fame. I still watch that show because that family is still just as modest as
when the series started.
