I'm thankful for...MICKEY!!! My Thanksgiving '08 TR!: TR Update, Last Day!

Ok first, your godson is soo cute! :cutie: Second, your trip is so soon! Third, I also vote for the Baglinni (sp?) for the pink lining. I'm obsessed with everything pink so that might have swayed my vote just a tiny bit  As far as shoes go are you a croc person or no? I'm NOT a croc person (sorry people!) and I'm at a loss for what other type of shoes I should wear!

What a cutie your godson is! I love babies. Love, love, love those chubby little cheeks. So kissable!

And no, there are no more children on the horizon for me...

yet. ;)

That Overland Donner (is that how you spell it) bag looks really nice. Where can you find those? I like all the compartments, and the water bottle holder. Typically when I travel with DS, I need a backpack for all his stuff, but now that he's potty trained, I travel a bit lighter, you know?

I also LOVE pink. I have ever since I was born! I think that since I was the youngest child of 5 in my family and the only girl, I didn't have a choice but to love pink!

I do like crocs. They are so comfortable for walking around all day. But I hate the way they look. And my dogs have chewed up all the crocs that i own (except the Alice crocs, which aren't comfortable anyways!) My mom had an extra pair of mary jane crocs in my size which she doesn't want. So she said i can have them. But I forgot them at my parents' house this weekend! My mom said she'd bring them with her to Disney World, though, so I'm safe.

The issue with the crocs, though, is that I don't think the mary janes are as comfortable as the caymans. So I have to decide if I'm going to buy another pair before the trip. Other than crocs, I will bring running shoes and flip flops. Truthfully, though, crocs are the only footwear that I can wear all day at WDW and not have issues.

No baby on the horizon for me yet, either. Hopefully that changes for both of us soon!

I got my Overland Donner bag at REI. It's an awesome travel bag, but like I said, when it's loaded up with heavy stuff like water bottles, it can be rough on the neck! I actually use the Donner bag a lot of the time when I'm not traveling too.

For now, I will leave you with proof that I just have a gift with children!

This would make a good picture for a caption contest.

He's a cutie, and I know you all love him so very much!

I haven't found the perfect bag yet, either. The one I use the most can do the neck rubbing thing, too, but there may not be a perfect bag out there.

I'll be another one with the crazy Florida hair while we're there.

Of course, my hair is pretty crazy in whatever state I'm in.

Julie, sorry I missed your posts. That little guy is so cute! I love the expression - looks like he's saying, "Oy Vey!" or something :rotfl2: That would definately win a contest!

As for the bag, I think the bagalinni, because you can change the straps. I notice the same strap day after day starts to make my neck and shoulders hurt. I have a little no name bag my mom gave me for baseball games that worked well the last time - but it did have the water bottle holder.

As for shoes - I always vote for the crocs. They are the only shoes that don't make my feet and legs hurt at the end of the day. :thumbsup2

I can't believe you are going THIS MONTH! Aren't you moving next month?

Thanks for the croc info. I might have to suck it up and just get a pair because blisters are something I refuse to deal with at Disney! Although BF might decide not to come with me if I get crocs because he thinks they are the ugliest things in God's creation :rotfl: (which I do agree with him but for comfort sometimes ya gotta sacrifice the looks lol)

That baby is ADORABLE!! Thank you so much for posting the pictures.

You're welcome! I was happy to share the cuteness! :goodvibes

I like the pink lining!

Thanks! :goodvibes

I agree...the perfect bag has yet to be found. I'll let you know if I ever find it. Until then, I'll just keep buying new ones cuz I love to shop!!!

Our trips are coming up so soon, MeMom!!!!!

That pic got quite a laugh out of everyone at the Christening. My cousin's fiance was in charge of my camera and he snapped that pic and showed it to EVERYONE afterwards!

I'm the same with the crocs...they're the only shoes that leave me feeling like I can walk at the end of the day!

Don't talk about us moving next month!!! Just say December because that sounds like we have more time! :rotfl:

My DH makes fun of the crocs all the time too. I think he's gotten used to them a little bit, but he may have been secretly happy when the dogs ate mine!

When I first bought crocs, I brought them to Disney World thinking I would never actually wear them, but I ended up wearing them CONSTANTLY. They were awesome. Of course, they ruined every outfit. But at least my feet felt good!

I'm going to Disney World in THREE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three weeks from today is Thanksgiving Day and we're supposed to be here

Hopefully, we'll win one of these

I had a bad dream last night. A very bad dream. This is how it went... we arrived at Disney World on time and checked into our hotel. We never actually made it to any parks the first day because they closed before everyone was ready. I was mad, but I thought it was no big deal because we had 6 more days. WELL...the second day, no one was ever ready to go until the parks had all closed. When we finally got to Epcot at 9 p.m., everyone was leaving. :scared1: Can you tell I'm nervous about my family ruining my schedule?!? I need to relax! You know the trip is getting close when I'm having dreams like that! :rotfl:

What I learned the hard way this past trip, split up if you need to. I was very upset by day 3 with our friend and finally said we are going here, if you are too great, if not here is when our ADR is make sure to be there.

Uh oh...sounds frustrating. I hope to read about it in your TR soon...

That is exactly the kind of thing I am worried about. I have already discussed with everyone that we may be splitting up and they said they're okay with it. We'll see how that goes when we're actually there!

That is why we are excited to go with just the 4 of us this time. We love having everyone with us, but it gets too crazy trying to do what everyone wants to do. Even when it's the 4 of us, we still split up.

I'm sure it will all work out.

Aw, hon, I know how you feel! When we go with family, usually they stick to us like glue! And sometimes we're waiting for certain people :rolleyes1

I take it with a grain of salt.

And I always plan one ADR that I know for a fact everyone won't want to do. I know it's evil ;) , but it forces us to split up for at least one evening! :thumbsup2

I usually end up going on rides/attractions that I do not really like (like it's a small world, figment, sounds dangerous for example) because someone in the group wants to do it. I have promised myself that this time, I will only go in/on the things I want. We'll just have to split up. I figure that by taking out all the stuff I don't really want to do, I'll have more time to just slow down and enjoy things!

When DH and I went just the two of us (before we were married), it was awesome. We could walk as fast as we want and stay out from 7 a.m. till 1 a.m. and do it again the next day! I'm happy that a lot of my family is going, but I'm a little jealous of your situation at the same time.

I am terrible about waiting for people at Disney World. I get so antsy!

That ADR scheme is a good one!

I made an appointment today to get my hair colored and cut tomorrow. I love new hair cuts and color.

I usually get fresh color before any big trip we take because I know there will be lots of pics. So tomorrow is the day.

I can't decide if I'm going to stick with my current color or do something different. I've been looking at hair pics all night!

Whatever I decide, you'll be seeing TONS of pics of it in just a few weeks!

I always have horrific nightmares before going to Disney -- don't worry too much.

Can't wait to see what you decide on the hair color!
