I'm thankful for...MICKEY!!! My Thanksgiving '08 TR!: TR Update, Last Day!

On this day at this time last year, I was at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!!!

As I mentioned before, my friends and I dressed at the characters from the board game "Clue." I was Mrs. White!

We took the bus over to MK

What a fun night that was! I wish I could be there right now...

Aaww...that was a great TR! I can't believe it's already been a year!

Oh - and I had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season yesterday and thought of you and Charleston Princess. Yum - I love that stuff! I pass a Starbucks almost everyday that's been calling my name, and I finally caved.

What cute pics from last year! That was a really creative and cool idea to be the players from Clue...were any kids scared of your knife? :rotfl:

Oh my goodness!

DH and I had a whirlwind weekend in Chicago this weekend. We flew back for our Godson's Christening. We were only there from Friday night till Sunday evening, so we jammed a lot of visiting into a very short time!

We boarded our dogs for the first time ever because our friends who usually watch them were out of town. We chose a very nice kennel/dog hotel/whatever and I think the dogs really liked it. They must have played constantly because they're totally wiped out today!

I have to catch up on everything here on the DIS, but right now, I'm so tired!

For now, I will leave you with proof that I just have a gift with children!

Fun memories of last year! :thumbsup2 I "met" you on that TR - I enjoyed it so much! :worship:

I hope this year's TR is just as good or better!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, JULIE! :maleficen

Don't you wish that we were at MK today???

Thanks! I wish we were at MK EVERY day!!!!

Yum! Pumpkin spice! DH and I have been drinking the caramel apple spice drinks lately too. They're soooo good!

Thanks!

I think all the kids knew the knife was fake. I tried not to show it to everyone unless we were taking pics or showing off our costumes!

Well, I just realized that we're going to Disney World THIS MONTH!!!!

I am SO excited that the trip is approaching. I need to make a to-do list for the next three weeks to make sure I get everything done for the trip.

We're also working on a major to-do list for everything we need to do before we move. That list is LONG! I think DH is starting to feel the pressure and stress of the impending move. Also, I have a ton of stuff to do to wrap everything up at work before we move. I finally told my boss last week that we're moving. It was a difficult thing to do, but she was awesome about it, so she made it easy on me! I want to make sure that I don't let the house and work stuff completely overshadow my Disney preparations! I still have tons of stuff I need to print out from tour guide mike since we don't want to pay for internet when we're at WDW. (Well, we'll see if DH can last that long without internet!) I still need to figure out my shoe situation too! And of course, I need to figure out which hair products I'm going to try this time. My hair does very well in Arizona's super dry climate. HOWEVER, in Florida's humidity, my hair gets CRRRRAZY!!! So every time I go to WDW, I buy some new hair products that promise to lock out the humidity. Do they ever work? Heck no! But I'm gonna keep trying!

So please send some pixie dust our way so that we can get through the next 3 weeks with minimal stress and maximal efficiency!

Wow - you must be SO busy! It's always tough leaving a job when you actually like it. I'm glad your boss was cool about it.

Just a little hair tip since I live in Florida - I discovered Frederick Fekkai's glossing cream this summer and it works great! My hair gets crazy with the FL humidity, but I feel like using this gives me an instant good hair day. If humidity is high, I do have to reapply in the afternoon. But they sell a handy little travel size you can keep in your bag. Don't use too much though (a pea-size amount works fine), or your hair will look oily.

I'm having a hard time choosing a bag for our trip.

I have 2 candidates in the running.

This is my Overland Donner bag

This bag has been on one Disney trip with me and many other trips. I love this bag for many reasons.

It has lots of pockets for keeping everything organized

It has 2 water bottle holder pockets, one on each side

The thing I do not love about this bag is that it irritates my neck quite a bit. I wear it across my body and the part where the trap hits my neck gets rubbed raw by the end of the day. Ouch!

So one day when I was shopping, I saw this bag at Marshall's. It was pretty cheap and I had seen talk of it on the DIS, so I bought it. It's a baggalini, not sure what model it is.

Roxy is modeling the bag for you! We have gotten into the bad habit of allowing to dogs to sleep on one of the guest beds during the day. We have several guests coming to visit in the next month. I guess it's a good thing it's a washable duvet cover!

Here's the inside of the baggalini

This strap is very versatile. It can be converted to a backpack or worn over one shoulder. I like the backpack option.

The only problem I see with the baggalini is the lack of a water bottle holder pocket. I like to carry a bottle with me everywhere so I can just refill it in a water fountain and not pay for a bottle of water.

I guess I can always bring both bags with me and try the baggalini out. If it doesn't work, I can just switch back to the overland. But I wanted to try to pack very lightly this time!

What do YOU think? :confused3

Decisions, decisions...:confused3

Speaking of decisions, did everyone vote today? I did. And the line was SO short when I got there. So nice. However, as I was leaving, the line was huge! I felt bad for the people who were waiting!

THANK YOU for the hair tip! Do you put it on before you dry your hair or after it is already dry?

The container says you can do it either way, but I prefer to put it on dry hair. I actually hardly ever blowdry my hair because DD is scared of the sound.
