I'm Ordering a big BLT for Thanksgiving 2010 NEW 12/3 started TR! see link

Oh I am so sorry about the flooding!
Glad Bekah had a great time at camp.
Love all of your craft projects. The birthday shirts are adorable.
Can't wait to see your countdown chain.

Yikes! Glad the flooding for you wasn't worse. Sorry about the parents though. We were out of town at DHs family reunion in NJ and knew nothing about the storms until my DMom called and told us. Luckily we stayed dry, DSis not so lucky she got 2ft!

Happy Bekah had a great time at camp. Those bunks look exactly the same as my girls had at Girl Scout camp last year!

Love all the projects! Have not done anything yet for ours. Still haven't told the kids about the trip yet and might keep it a secret until we go so I'll have to wait to do any projects until after they go back to school.....

Love seeing all your projects! What a heck of a lot of water... hope things get back to normal for you soon.

Sorry to hear you guys are flooded out again!! I'll be thinking of you and your families hoping everything dries up quickly! :goodvibes

Love all of your great projects!! :thumbsup2

Oh, I hope you dry out quickly and things return to normal!!! What a bummer!

You have been a very busy crafter -- all of your stuff for the trip is so cute! Love it all!

Sorry to hear about the flooding. We have an area close to our house that floods like that. The area is called Rocky River because there's a river right there (doh! LOL) and whenever we get lots of rain it floods horribly there.

Love your craft projects! Looking forward to seeing your 110 day countdown chain. I'm working on a 10 day countdown calendar. I've got exactly two days on it.  Need to get crackin' on it since we're at 119 days today!

Thanks for posting such a great update in the middle of your chaos!

why your welcome :goodvibes

Did she email them to you as a file or files???? If she did could you email them to me? or point me in the right direction to grab them off the internet please???

Ok here is a link straight to her thread:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2421068

and then in her siggie you will find two sites a 4share and a photobucket...click on the photo bucket one.

She has tons of stuff so scroll down till you find journal pages...BUT as well in her thread the very next post #2 you will see a direct link to the above pages in her photobucket area click on the parks to your left and then you will need to open each picture file to enlarge it and then save into your Pictures Folders on your computer...

I also use a free photo organizer called Picasa it is great! it's downloadable from Google sites. It was easy then to click all the pages I wanted choose 3 x 5 and print...

I am also using some of her more elaborate journal desings to create custom Jounrals for the kids too...working on those...

Ooooh, I love the projects!!! You definitely inspire me!

My door sign was a big hit -- got about 10 comment cards (although someone did steal my marker :headache:).

I did the Mickey tickets showing the mileage for all the major cities on the way down...DD5 liked that, esp b/c with each ticket she got a new surprise (either food or small toy).

Can you list your days again ... particularly Nov 21 -23 since we just booked a last-minute trip and will be there the same time!:thumbsup2

YEAH :cool1: I know I read on the NEW Nov thread you are making a quickie back down....

so this is the pretty basic plan for Sun 21st through Tues 23rd...don't forsee much changing...

my inlaws will be w/ all these days too

21st-AK in the morning hopefully as close to RD/opening as possible, tour through very early afternoon hit the big stuff then a rest/play at BLT and then just our 6 will be braving the MK EMH...we'll head over early for dinner and then play it by ear...

22nd-DHS in morning once again hopefully as close to RD/opening as we can manage, tour through early afternoon if you look back a few posts you'll actually see my full agenda for DHS on this day...break back at BLT then HDDR at night and back to BLT for the night.

23rd-Rachel's b-day 1900 PF ADR 8 am, then over to MK for touring into mid afternoon, Nathan is doing the PL at 12:30 pm. we'll take a small break at BLT and then plan to hop back over to DHS for the OL (as long as they are up) otherwise back to MK or maybe EP ????

anything match up?

Very cool! We have a lot in common.

We are (tentatively) planned:

11/21 - MK in the AM and HS in the PM for osbourne lights. IF (and that's a big one) we are still awake we'll go to MK EMH. (so we may overlap for EMH)

11/22 HS in the AM and MK in the PM (so we should overlap in the AM)

11/23 MK in the AM and HS in the PM for the osbourne lights (we should overlap for both MK and HS)

We are making a list of the attractions we missed on this July trip or those we want to do again. I'm sure we can meet up somewhere one of those times. I'll PM you my cell # and if nothing else we can call each other when we're in the park. I currently have dinner and lunch ressies for LTT and Kona but they are more like placeholders. We actually really like the food choices at MK so often times we just end up at CHH, PVH, or CR.

PS My Rachel would be excited to meet another Rachel! She thinks it's cool to meet other kids with her name!

Ugh... what a mess with your craft room but 7" of rain! Yikes!

Where is best place to get scrapbook stuff at Disney? Haven't been there in ages and never to DTD?

hey you forgot to mention this day in your pm...but I jotted it down in my notes

Rachel is quite the social butterfly too...she'll get a kick out of too :goodvibes

yes I am glad it wasn't any worse than seepage... I did get a make ship area out in the regular basement area...it's drying out...but still days till I am back in and starightened up...UGH is right...

Where is best place to get scrapbook stuff at Disney? Haven't been there in ages and never to DTD?

I have found various things at ALL gift shops throughout property...they have themed packages of stickers, paper, etc and then smaller sticker packets...I especially want to buy there the little stickers that say the parks names on them or have the park logos as you can't find that stuff anywhere else (at least I've noticed)...they also will have scrapbook albums w/ generally the current yr on the cover. I bought these really cute albums for my 3 older kids in 08 at one of the gift shops at the Poly resort...but didn't see anything around property in 09...bummer...hope I can find some in Nov.

DTD basically the Marketplace area is where all the great shops are...some shops will have merchandise you can't find else where...but mostly everything in the regular Disney shops you can find at the resorts and in the parks...

if you have time to go there...I would it's a fun morning or late evening...plus a couple of great QS places to eat...

You can find plenty of generic Disney things at the scrapbook stores and online too :thumbsup2

as well....

:welcome: to my PTR...thanks for saying hi

J~

Oh my, that is a lot of rain. I'm happy to hear you escaped the worst of the damage.

5 hours is a long time to drive in the rain! But it looks like Bekah had fun at camp, and like you had a fun detour on the way home!

Swimming looks fun too! Glad you enjoyed yourself!

And I am totally jealous of those disney bandz...DH thinks that DS is too little to get into them. I say, who cares about DS? I want them!

And yet, you still managed to get such a big update up! I LOVE all the projects, they are all so beautiful! I'm hoping to make a little journal for myself from Natalie's designs too, but I'm not sure how to make them smaller than a whole page for printing. I will figure it out though. I also absolutely love that sign for your door for Thanksgiving! Too cute!

thanks.. I see Disney stuff at my LSS and everywhere on line but am glad for the tips on smaller park stamps etc that may not get elsewhere... I have always admired all my friends' Disney albums.. so that's really the reason for our trip.. so I can do one too?:rotfl2: well, not the "real" reaon

thanks :goodvibes our basement is getting closer to back to normal so yay!!!!! maybe just 2 more days I can start getting my scrap room back in order!

for printing her pages smaller...if you save the picture files into a pictures folder on your computer or a photoorganizing site like Picasa that you can use to print at home...you should be able to choose a smaller size...some of her designs get a little cut off being smaller...but not bad...

the things we tell ourselves ;)

So sorry about the flooding. Soggy basements are never fun or convenient! :sad2: It's been a really rainy summer here too...lots of baseball rain-outs!

I'm so glad Bekah enjoyed camp! Jonah went last week and my two older boys are at camp this week. Yay for summer camp! (BUT UGH on the laundry!)

I adore all of your projects! You are very talented! :worship: The autograph books are my favorite.

I woulnd't say it's been a rainy summer here...actually quite hot and dry...just when you add up 7 inches in one night...well that is when disaster stirkes...

hope your older boys are enjoying camp!

110 Days to Disney…..

We are on our way now, come join our countdown celebrations as we begin to countdown the days till we leave for our next WDW Adventure…

As the summers come to an end & school begins, the seasons change into fall and then Winter will be approaching, as Halloween passes and preparations for Thanksgiving and the Holiday rush begin…all along in the Mouse Scrapper house we will be getting ready for some Disney fun…

Matt and I several months ago were sitting in our living room commenting on the very long paper chain that is hanging up (the girls made over Spring Break the end of March) and deciding what should we do with it?

Take it down and throw it away?

Or

Save it and use to help countdown to Disney!!!!

We cam up w/ a plan that starting on August 1st our 110 day mark to our trip…we have mini celebrations/family nights & days every 10 days leading up to the final 10 days till Disney.

As you saw in a previous post I hinted to this countdown…

We came up w/ 20 themes of things to do and then I made these little colored Mickey Heads:

110_6161.jpg

Each Head has the number of days to go and the theme for the night or day’s celebration…

We start today w/ a simple but fun way to kick it all off:

110_6162-1.jpg

During the non “Disney Days” we’ll shorten the chain each day by removing the next 9 links…

Here is the very long….room wrapping chain:

110_6192.jpg

110_6194.jpg

110_6193.jpg

110_6195.jpg

And to give you a sneak peek as to what is ahead, here are a few of our upcoming days:

Pirates Day pirate:

Finding Nemo Night

Mary Poppins Day :goodvibes

Our own MNSSHP and MVMCP nights/days :santa:

And more…

I will try and post on the day of each countdown and then again w/ some pictures from what we did…

This should be a great and fun way to help countdown, pass the time and spend some great quality time together….

Coming up soon and NEXT:

More Disney trip crafts and Scrappie’s Guide to the Animal Kingdom

Stay tuned and thanks for reading,

J~

Yay for 110 days!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Love the countdown chain and all the fun things you have planned. Hannah came up while I was reading your update and she thought it was cool too. Looking forward to hearing all about the fun things you'll be doing leading up to your trip!
