Oreo Truffles

1 pound Oreo Cookies -- 3 sleeves (45 cookies)
1 - 8 oz Cream Cheese -- room temp
1 pound Melting milk chocolate
1/2 pound Melting White chocolate -- (Can vary the colors depending upon the occasion)

Using a food processor, grind cookies to a fine powder.
Using mixer, blend cookie powder and cream cheese until thoroughly mixed (should be no white traces of cream cheese).

Roll into small balls and place on wax-lined cookie sheet.
Refrigerate for 45 minutes.

Line two cookie sheets with wax paper.
In double-boiler, melt milk chocolate.
Dip balls and coat thoroughly.
With slotted tool, life ball out of chocolate and let excess chocolate drip off.
Place on wax-paper lined cookie sheet.
In separate double boiler, melt white chocolate.
Using a fork, drizzle white chocolate over balls.
Let cool.

If not eating that day. store in airtight container, in refrigerator.

I was at a party 2 weeks ago and they were the ONLY dessert that was totally eaten. The lady made about 150 of them.
 

What do you mean "if not eaten that day"? Wouldn't we just be eating them off the cookie sheet...heck, I don't need them to cool that much anyway, I'll eat em warm too!!!! LOL

I'm actually mixing the milk chocolate with dark chocolate... you know, so it gets even MORE CHOCOLATY! :thumbsup2

Yuck, I don't like Oreos but my husband and my son would eat every one of them.
 
OMG, these look fabulous! I wish, I wish, I wish I could eat something. I am so hungry. I never should have opened this thread, but temptation got the best of me. When I am better I will makes these. Thanks for the recipe.

They were YUMMY and I still have about 10 left! I have them in the fridge now. Mine weren't quite as artistic looking, but they tatsed GREAT!
