I'm getting my birthday gift tonight...

My birthday was Thursday, but I'm getting the most wonderful birthday gift tonight from my husband -- a party with entertainment provided by him and a friend of mine! A couple of months ago I got it in my head that with my husband's vocals and my friend's guitar skills, they would make a great acoustic group (which is big around here). Even at their first practice, I knew they really had something special. I'd asked them if they'd practice on my birthday and do a song for me, but my husband can't do anything in a small way, so he put together a party at a local restaurant.

I'm so excited to hear them play "for real."

Anyway, just thought I'd share! I'm going to see if I can get a video of them to put up.

No "Pants on the Ground," but I'll have to put that in as a request.

The party ended up being really awesome! We had about 30 people show up and the restaurant that catered it really outdid themselves with all the food they provided. They also now want to book my husband and friend to play.

Oh, and my husband knowing what a huge Disney geek I am, got me a princess ice cream cake from DQ. I didn't get pics of that -- I'll have to wait for some of my friends to upload them.
