I'm confused - how does fastpass+ work for the shows?

Hi

As the title suggests - I'm confused. How does fastpass+ work with the shows like Fantasmic, Wishes, etc? Is it worth using it for these when booking or wait til the day? We're going end Sept/early oct

I would not waste it for Wishes. It gives you a good spot to watch the show. For Fantasmic - we always got in without any package. But if you want to guarantee that you get in without having to wait on a line then it is worth it. The Fantasmic theater is huge and going in February and August we always got in and we went during busy times.

The other problem is, right now, you cannot get your 4th fastpass until you use all of your 3 fastpasses. So if you use one of the 3 for the late shows - as I believe you cannot get your 4th FP. But I bet that will change.

Haven't used for Fantasmic. Have for Wishes.

I saw these as pros - some might see them as cons because the area was to the side of the castle and you had to sit on the ground (you could stand if you stood behind those who were sitting). I saw it as a pro because you could SIT, albeit on the ground (this was a grassy area, no concrete). Nobody stood in front of you. No kids on shoulders. Even people holding up their phones and cameras to video the show didn't block you much. Tinkerbell flies right over you.

I would think that area would not be so pleasant in inclement weather though.

We used one for wishes last Thursday and it was raining so we could not sit on the grass. It was a decent view of celebrate the magic and a great view of wishes but it was off to the side of the castle so you don't get the straight on view of the fireworks behind the castle like you would if you were standing on Main Street. The best part was that it was not at all crowded and you could just hang out there and let the crowd thin out before you wondered out of the rose garden.
