My mother is the owner, and I am her associate. Is the only thing I'm able to do as far as DVC is concerned, book stays? I just wondered... I have an id and pin for the member site that they sent me. I have talked to them about or upcoming trip but I wondered if I was at all eligible for anything else DVCwise. If not... no problem. I just wanted clarification. Thanks!

You mean like free valet parking and other onsite member perks? It depends. Some perks will require you to show your room key that designates "DVC Member" (usually good for pool hopping) Annual Pass Discounts require you to show an actual blue membership card.

It really depends on the CM as to whether they'll honor your room key for dining discounts and valet parking at DVC resorts.

Thanks Chuck, I don't want to ask for something I'm not entitled to!
Thanks again for the info!

The answer is being an associate ONLY entitles you to make reservations and the like. However, you might get other benefits being a guest staying at WDW on points. Since they've started asking for the blue card also, it's harder for guests to get any of the benefits.
