Il Pochi il Fiero Y Blabbermouths...still making Magic!

Are you an Apple user? A friend and I have trouble sharing pics and doing some of the same things because he's uses Apple...I usually log on with Internet Explorer, but I found that if I log on with Firefox, I get the same results that he does, and it makes our life easier.
If I email you the picture, will you be able to see it? I'll try that.

Thanks, Stacey! I got the email!

I loved that photo -- had seen it on FB! :thumbsup2

I don't know that we'll ever figure out what my problem is! :rotfl:

I'm not an Apple user; I use Firefox on this desktop. Your photos, and ONLY your photos, are the only ones I can't see! :confused3

I just checked Internet Explorer and yep, they're there! (I don't use IE though because it takes forever to load!) :headache:

Alexa and her 8th grade class entered a regional competition called Future City where they had to design and present a city 150+years into the future. She was chosen as a presenter and had to explain their model to room full of engineers and a panel of judges shooting questions at them. They placed 2nd!!:cool1: Not sure I could have pulled that off at 13 years of age!:scared1:
Here's the article from the paper. Alexa is behind the board on the left.

Gee. Took me forever to figure out how to reply. Thanks for sharing the article and pic of Alexa. Tell her. Great job from all of us. We are impressed.

Then it must be Photobucket. But I've never figured out how to post pictures on here with any other photo site. And my brain is too old to start thinking now.
:headache:

Gee thanks. Blush blush.

Hey Garry. How are the tests?????

I thought he had his tests today....but then again, I could swear now that he said he wasn't having tests again until February. :confused3 Stupid old brain.

By the way.....if you and Sam think you might want to cruise with friends again.......Laura, Dwight, Jay and I will be cruising out of Miami in February 2015......NCL's brand-spanking-new Getaway.:thumbsup2

Wish I had this sooner. Sharon and I just booked a cruise in 2015. It's a Mississippi River Boat cruise tandem bike tour. The bike people have the whole boat and it's all about bike riding. Sound be fun, but not as nice as NCL out of Miami. You don't have to ride bikes all day for your food.

So cancel and rebook with us!! (I'll carry your wine for you)

134 days until our 7 day Eastern :cool1: Just starting to think about excursions. Anyone have any suggestions? I really want to get over to St. John and go to Trunk Bay.Any thoughts?

The "Moms" did a tour of St John, and I want to say we shared a large taxi van with some other ladies. Just got off the water taxi at St John and met up with them and shared. It is a beautiful island and we took some wonderful pictures.

If you're not comfortable doing that, their are DCL tours that do the same thing.

We've also done the Captain Nautica beach and snorkel tour several times to St John. Some of the best snorkeling anywhere, in my opinion.

I've never been to Trunk Bay.

It's a given for us that if we go to St Thomas, we go over to St John, although we have toured St Thomas, too.

St Maarten, we've only been there a few times...one island tour (rather boring) and once a side trip to St Barth on the water taxi, which was AMAZING. The others were snorkel trips.....I'm just not one who can sit still at a beach.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Thanks, Stacey. I am ok with doing non-disney excursions and am leaning towards that. There is one family that will not do any excursions unless they are disney cuz they want the peace of mind that should something go wrong the boat will wait for them. I guess they can always meet us there. Did you have to reserve the taxi ahead of time or when you got off the boat? IF we have a dozen or so people going maybe it would be better to pre-arrange the ride to the water taxi:drive:

So, st. Barth is worth looking into? I will have to do a little research on that;)

Thanks for all the info!

In the instance of going to tour St John, we researched how to get to the water taxi, I can't remember if it was at the cruise pier or not, but it didn't take long to get there, regardless. There were taxi's waiting in St John to take people on tours.
We did the same thing with St Barth's....I found the water taxi schedule online and we took it from there. That water taxi was really nice. The seats were almost like the seats on an airplane. Very large size boat, bathrooms....

St Barth's is beautiful. SO clean. But it's a very slow pace. We toured the island, then had lunch back at the bay where the water taxi stops, and shopped for a bit. Some of the people on the water taxi got a land taxi to take them to various beaches. We're going back on an Eastern next year, so I need to look into the beaches at St Barth's and see if there's good snorkeling at any of them. Neither Jay or I are all that crazy about just sitting on a beach. Have to be moving!;)

I am ramping up my vacation planning around the cruise and I am dumbfounded at the price of car rentals! We are going to be staying in Orlando (not Disney property) for a week after the cruise and I'm trying to find "reasonable" rates for rental. Anyone have any suggestions?pixiedust:

Last time I checked, rental rates out of the Orlando airport are pretty reasonable, especially if you use Priceline. Maybe take a shuttle to the airport from the cruise port, and get a car? I know it's not the simplest, but getting a car at the port and dropping off somewhere else really raises the cost.

Thanks Diana, that's what I ended up doing. :thumbsup2 I also found a "city special" that popped up with my dates so I am going with that. Appreciate the help:goodvibes

An Early Happy St. Patrick's Day.

I have the most wonderful news to share!!!!

Sam has been discharged from the oncologist....

It was five years ago on St. Patrick's Day when we were in the surgeon's office. He is now cancer-free.

Thank you all for your prayers and support :grouphug::thanks::cloud9:
